I am up earlier than usual. DH had a men's breakfast a church so he went extra early. Of course DS decided to wake up 40 minutes early. Momma is tired little boy. Not much happening today. Just trying to catch up on work since I was in meetings yesterday. What's going on with you?

First night that DD has slept through the night since Friday! I blame teething but she'd been waking up 12-2 or 3 every night. Last night she cried out a few times, but settled herself back into sleep easily. Thankfully.
Going to attempt to do a body pump class even though I haven't been in about 3 weeks mainly due to feeling like crap and my terrible schedule for work. Then cleaning my whole house. I need to do all the floors and all the bathrooms so might as well try and clean the whole thing. It's well overdue and making me crazy.
We are going to our local children's museum today. They do extra programming on Wednesdays, so hopefully DS is interested. Then we will have lunch at Tim Hortons!

Not much today. Feeling very large and in charge even though I haven't gained any weight so far. Probably the lack of gym routine... sigh...
Tonight it's dinner, then helping MH paint the closets after J goes to bed. Our whole second floor smells slightly of vinegar from the wallpaper removal. Fun!
Getting excited for our appointment tomorrow at the OBGYN! We'll get an u/s. FX everything is still going well in there!

I'm attempting one nap with LO today. Eep!
Also, just because it was nice out for 2 days, we're back to horrible hot humid weather for the foreseeable future.
I'm feeling a little down today for no apparent reason... Must try to get myself out of this funk! Hopefully I can get everything checked off my to-do list at a reasonable hour today and I can spend a little time crocheting and watching Jane Austen adaptations tonight. That always helps!
Yay for getting back to sttn flyinghorses6! I used to love my body pump classes. I'd love to get back into them after this one is born (I'm on low activity restriction- booo).
Good luck tomorrow oldbaylover1024! Hope everything on the scan looks good.

It's my anniversary!! I've been with H long enough to not expect flowers... but a girl can kinda look out the window for a delivery van every once in a while, right?
flyinghorses6 I would like to clean my house, too. Not happening during the week, at least.
shawnabm1320 Yay for Jane Austen adaptations! Do you have a favorite?
wildflower810 MH doesn't do flowers for me either. He does for his mom . Honestly, I'd rather he spend money on something useful that I don't have to worry about the cats or kids eating it.
MH and I were awake at 5:30 this morning. He complained that he'd been awake since 3:30. I said I had a headache and still felt tired, probably because I had a headache all night that didn't allow me to sleep well. What happened after that? I got up with Master R at 6am and one of the damn cats woke up Miss G. MH slept an extra 20-30 minutes and came downstairs just as I handed a bottle to baby #2.
MH's surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday and he gets the stitches out a week later. FX he'll be a more involved parent after that.
We're all up early this morning. H might have jury duty today. He has to call at 10:15 to see if he's released or not. Either way he's off work because of it which means DS is going to nana's so he can come to my appointment with me! If he doesn't have to go in we're going to see Bad Moms and go out for lunch. I can't remember the last date we had with no baby and I've been dying to see this movie!
Heading to sleep! But I don't work Til 11 tonight so I get to have dinner with DH
Mini rant: I'm SO tired of hearing my family say "I told you so" when I told them the tests were negative and the baby is healthy.... Like can you just say yay and leave it at that?! You DIDNT know, no one did. That's why we had to get testing done. Just... ARG!! 🙄 My mom even said... See science can be wrong! Trust in God! And I wanted to rip my hair out. No, science was NOT wrong. It's because of science we know the baby is healthy. I don't think God had anything to do with it bc it was already predetermined, genetically! So STFU 😡🙄😣
addymac, I would have lost it. I'm sorry people said insensitive things to you.
I'm tired BUT I actually had some energy last night when I got home from work!!! I'm hoping this repeats soon. I vacuumed and it felt so amazing to be able to do *anything* after work other than lying around on the couch because I'm just so done.
addymac, I'm so sorry you had to hear that crap. I swear, family says the worst things sometimes. I'd have flipped out. People need to keep their religious views out of my uterus.
Post by flyinghorses6 on Aug 10, 2016 10:58:06 GMT -5
addymac ignore them all. I am not religious, so that would have annoyed me as well. Sadly annoying family comments only get worse and worse. Wait until the unsolicited advice starts...
The lady who runs the daycare at gym told me today not to worry I can get through this. Pointing to my belly and handing me DD. I'm not sure if I looked concerned or what...but I thought it was weird.

nomnom, It's hard to pick a favorite! Sense & Sensibility and Persuasion are my favorite stories, (and I really like the newest adaptations of those - except for the end of Persuasion), but I think the most recent Emma adaptation was done very well. And the A&E Pride and Prejudice is still my favorite of the P&P adaptations. I like the Kiera Knightly version a lot for what it is, but it's not as close to the book as the A&E. I also really liked the newest Jane Eyre adaptation. I know it's not Jane Austen, but a classic nonetheless.

I am done with my last assignment! All that's left now is waiting for grades, a reception, and commencement. I feel so relieved. This summer semester was rough.
shawnabm1320 Yes, love me some Jane Austen. I have a somewhat limited collection at home, so I mostly watch the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle) repeatedly. I agree that the Kiera Knightly version is good, but some of the interactions seem a little modernized and less true to the period of the book. Not to mention I don't know that Kiera Knightly would fit the beauty standards of the time.

I bought an unlimited 2-week pass for the yoga studio near my parents' house, where I'm staying for now. I've been to 5 classes in the last 5 days. Most of them have been gentle and restorative yoga, but today I went to a normal vinyasa class. This was the first real exercise I've gotten since getting pregnant. It went OK, but I am going to be SORE tomorrow.

Successful body pump! And just finished cleaning my entire downstairs!! All 5 rooms are clean, floors washed, counters cleared! I am so happy I had energy to do it all.
I also watched last nights Olympic prime time and even though I knew the girls gymnastics won gold I was so happy to watch them win! I cry more than I like to admit watching the olympics. I'm blaming hormones but I think I'm just a sap.

addymac - I'm raging for you. Ignore them... at least the best you can. Again, I'm so happy things came back well! I still get excited when I read updates from you!

This morning was rough with a weather-induced headache and she surprised me with an Alex and Ani Bracelet called "key to life" in celebration of my pregnancy. She's been a great support system over my entire IF journey so it was really touching.

What is it about pregnancy that makes everyone think they are entitled to share an opinion about your body, family choices, reproductive choices, and life choices in general? Sorry for everyone dealing with that crap. Luckily no one has said anything dumb/rude to me yet.

Anybody else feeling exhaaaausted after lunch?? I seriously feel like I took NyQuil and it never really goes away. Yes I ate a fairly large heavy lunch, leftover meatloaf and potatoes, but my goodness when will I regain consciousness! This grogginess I so annoying. I'm just going to lean my head back at lunch and take a nap...

Yes. I try to do anything that requires mental or physical energy before lunch because the afternoon hours are a lost cause. I can't wait for that 2nd tri energy everyone talks about.
