All right, the baby boy (if it's a boy) will be called Ben. But! Should his full name be Bennett or Benjamin? I like both...but my husband prefers one and my sister in law has fallen in love with the other, which makes me like it more haha.
I love the name Ben! DH has a cousin that just named his boy Bennett. I think either Bennett or Benjamin are equally great. Benjamin may be a bit more traditional, but I don't think Bennett is too trendy by any means.
Also on our short list I think are Alexander and Lucas. We know we're team blue, so I'm a little sad since we were more solid on our girl name (Julia Jane). We're trying to find something that's a bit traditional, but will also compliment DDs name (which should be obvious by my sn). MN for a boy might be George (family name), or something else... since Lucas George is too George Lucas vibey.

I love Lucas! I think it's a great name. Our daycare provider and good friends kid is Luca so I chose not to consider it. He's only a year, so it seems fresh haha. I think Lucas and Ella sound nice together!
I like Ben! I like Bennett slightly more (I'm a huge P&P fan!) but Benjamin is nice too.
We're doing Elizabeth Marie. We're not 100% on NN yet, but I think it's going to be Libby
Libby is super cute! It also doesn't sound very common to me, at least where I live, so you've got yourself a unique name pick which is always good in my book

My top names for a while have been Lucas and Cecilia. I'm a bit worried by how popular Lucas has gotten, but not enough to change my mind. MH likes the names too but isn't sold on them as a final choice. We're not discussing seriously until we find out the sex.
I'm getting a lot of pressure from my family to pick a name that works in Polish. I'm going to name my kid what I (and MH) like, thank you very much. I don't need to hear another story about how a family friend is struggling with their new grandson Ethan's name.
I like Bennett better as well for the same reasons as staz
We have a boys name picked out from last baby when we were team green, Oliver. No idea on a girls name since those are harder for DH and I to agree on. I like names like Eliza, Charlotte, and Eleanor but DH shot them all down last time. We aren't even going to discuss girl names unless we find out at the 20 week a/s that baby is a girl.

I love all your names! Julia, Jane and Lucas are on my lists as well.
Re.id Al.an is our boy name. We've used our favorite girl names for our 2 girls so if it's a girl again I have no idea. We're starting from scratch on that one and DH and I have very different taste (me more traditional, him more trendy).

I love Bennett! I wouldn't have thought of it, trendy or not.
We have an Abigail and a Genevieve. If this one is a girl, we're leaning toward Zelda (ala Fitzgerald). Middle name is up for discussion but H wants Maple, as a nod to the video game character in Zelda. I kind of like that it's a witch character but I also think it sounds a little too hippy-dippy.
If a boy, Calvin- we're huge Calvin and Hobbes fans. Middle name Lewis or Louis. I like Louis, he likes Lewis. There are going to be some epic rock, paper, scissors battles in our future fussing that one out.
Love everyone's names! CoffeeOnIce I like Bennett I think! I still think it has a classic/traditional feel to it.
We're pretty set on Nolan for a boys name. DH thought of it which surprised me since he's more traditional. We're up in the air for a girls name though. We like Lucille and call her Lucy. I really like Winifred and call her Winnie but DH is not really sold on that one though. We have a few others we're tossing around as well.
It's funny because with DD we were 100% set on a girls name but couldn't agree on a boys name before we found out it was a girl and it's the opposite with this one. Makes me feel like it's a boy this time. Totally irrational, but being team green makes me think that way lol.
pivot - Ha again! We almost went with Lucille, Lucy for short! It's a beautiful name! Very traditional, and not heard frequently.
And I love Bennett, CoffeeOnIce ! From what I've seen at our DC, Benjamin has become extremely popular (but it's very traditional, so I don't think that should sway you necessarily). FWIW Benjamin is on our list, too LOL
We have a list of boy names. Mostly very traditional. The middle name will definitely be Luke - we're set on that. But the first name is still up for grabs.

Our top boy and girl names are William (Liam) and Georgiana (Georgie). Backup girl name is Magdalena (Maggie)... at least *I* think it is. I'm not sure if DH agrees yet. If we have two boys it'll be harder.

What about William and George for two boys? It's close to your top girl name.

Oooh nomnom, I really loved Georgiana as a mn for our girl (DH vetoed it even before we knew we were team blue). We have George as a family name that we may use for a boy's mn, so I thought it would be meaningful to use the female version to still honor that individual. Pooh to DH lol.

I'll think about it, but my first reaction is Meh. We've tossed around Patrick, but we go back and forth on that.
DH and I were set on Elise for a girl but now we're second guessing it because we can't think of nicknames. Every girl name I like DH vetos (ie Madison, Addison, Hailey, Hayden). If we have another boy we will likely name him Michael, Lucas, or Luke. CoffeeOnIce We named DS Benjamin (we call him Ben). I still absolutely love the name!
DS is Forrest (family name) and his middle name is MH's first name.
We have a lot of girl names we love, but not a lot of boy names we love. I keep a running list in case I hear a name I like. I'm pretty sure if this is a girl she's going to be Clara. Not sure about a middle name. I think H would like it to be Elaine after his mom's middle name, but I'm afraid of stirring up jealousy among the grandparents. (Specifically, I'm afraid my mom and grandma will flip.)
Boy names on our list: Isaiah, Elliot, Isaac. I think there's a few more, but the list is on my computer.
I'd love to use my paternal grandfather's name as the middle name for a boy, but again - my moms family is so jealous, I'm just afraid they'll be mad and never speak to us again. Although, really that wouldn't be so bad.
Basically if it's a boy we'll be having long discussions. It took us almost the whole 10 weeks from finding out he was a boy until his birth to decide on DS's middle name!

I really like the names on here so far!
Girl - Laurie, Elizabeth, and Katherine are my top 3.
Boy - is it bad that I really haven't thought about boys names yet? The only thing I know is that it's not going to be a Jr. as DH is dead set against it.
I'm not telling anybody what we picked until the baby is born. My parents are adamant that we use their names somehow and I don't like either of their first names. I could potentially see using my dad's name as a middle name, but not first.

We intentionally don't use family names for first names for that reason, shawnabm1320. J's middle is my my middle name. This little one will have the same middle name as my BIL (MH doesn't want to use his). But no family first names. BIG old nope.

oldbaylover1024, yeah... Another problem we have is MH's dad has two just really unattractive names (to us), so we can't really use his name. So it feels like we'll be slighting him no matter whose family name we use - because it won't be his!
No one put up any stink about DS's name because it was my great grandpa's name, and he's been dead for 30 years. It was a way to honor my great grandma, who is still living. Plus it was relatively uncommon, and we try to pick kind of unpopular names.
Edited to add: FIL's name is Ronald Earl!! I don't like either of those...
