She's doing a lot to make me smile but my two favorite things are:
1. She examines everything so carefully the first time she sees something new. She turns it all around in her hand and looks at it from all angles, then passes it to her other hand, then at the end she gives it a shake. If it passes her baby test, she keeps playing with it for a bit otherwise she drops it and moves on. I love watching her intensity lol. Baby scientist.
2. This is a bad mommy one lol. Sometimes if she's sitting on the floor and I walk toward her she thinks I'm going to pick her up (usually I'm going to do something past her) and if I don't pick her up and continue walking past her she drops her chin to her chest and just bawls. It's so cute. Like, "mommy how could you break my heart so completely!!" She doesn't outright cry very often (she's more of a whiner) so it's very dramatic.
There is nothing like the unbridled joy of child ❤️
There is a lot, but the thing that comes quickest to mind is playing peeakboo. She's whips whatever off her head super fast and then just bursts out laughing, which of course makes me laugh.
And an oldie but goodie, how excited she is to see me when I pick her up from school. If she could jump off the floor and fly into my arms, she could. Of course she does that with the teachers when I drop her off too.
Today A was holding a block in her hand. She stopped, looked at me then the block, and held it out to give to me. It was so endearing.
I also love this little "animal call" she does. When she sees any animal she does this cough laugh thing to try to get them to come over. It's hilarious and she's just so excited about it.
I've mentioned, but his newfound clapping ability is just so sweet and funny. He drifted off to sleep nursing last night, and right before he finally conked out he was slowly, with his eyes closed, clapping. Like, nice job, mom!
He also just within the last day started doing this thing where when I pick him up, he wraps his legs around me like he just wants to be as close as possible.
Ours growls himself to sleep. It starts as a cry but as he gets more tired it slowly becomes a growl and then he's out. In the last few weeks he's also started to understand "Peekaboo" and he laughs so hard about that.
