Morning!
Trying to rest and then possibly headed to my aunts for a cookout, only if the weather holds out though. Feel like I should go since it will most likely be the last time I see that side of family before baby is here.
Weird to think of things like that - so close, yet so far.

I hosted a baby shower at my house yesterday, stupidly. I'm EXHAUSTED today. Luckily DH is dealing with entertaining C for the most part. He told me to sleep during nap time but I really need to pack my hospital bag and put the car seat in. I'm having nightmares about going into labor and not being ready, so hopefully by doing those two things it'll help.
Well DS has started having night terrors. Twice last night we were up for quite a while trying to calm him enough to go back to sleep. I hope we can get through it before Little G gets here. He wakes up screaming bloody murder that I just know he will wake G as soon as I get him down.
DH stayed at his bosses beach house with him last night. Boss and his wife have separated after 20+ years of marriage and he's incredibly lonely. He asked DH down to fish and I told him he'd have to stay the night since I knew they'd be drinking. We also need his Boo's to be incredibly understanding of the time off DH will need since we are moving next week and baby won't be far after.
Today I want to go to World Market and At Home (used to be Garden Ridge) and possibly Home Goods. I need a few area rugs since the new house is mostly wood floors downstairs, and I also need to find a chaise lounge or small loveseat for the guest room. There's a cute bay window, and MIL loves to lay and read her kindle at home. Since she will be staying with us for a month, I'd like her to be as comfy as possible. Obviously she's not used to little ones running around so I'd like her to have a comfy escape if she needs it.

Watching the Olympics. Waiting for gymnastics to start.
Planning to wash the 0-3 months clothes and receiving blankets today. Also have a big box of random toys/small gifts I got from the shower that I need to go through and put away places so there's room to set up the pack 'n play.
annapunkalunka, cbrandt1 - I haven't done my hospital bag or car seat yet either. I put some travel toiletries in a plastic bag a couple weeks ago but haven't even started my real bag. And I'm hoping to get my car detailed Wednesday afternoon so I can install the car seat in a clean car so I haven't done that yet either!
The next area of panic is the car seats. I want the van detailed and thoroughly cleaned before the car seat is installed. I've been asking my H to take it on his lunch break for a month now... It is still not done.
I JUST posted I'm trying to do the same for my car before installing the car seat. I really should try to call today or tomorrow and see if I can get in Wednesday afternoon. I think they take drive-ups, but probably better to make sure I have an appointment before it's too late.
We are being lazy as we only have this weekend and next weekend left before we add two more babies to the family. I made waffles with strawberry and blueberry compote this morning, we watched lots of cartoons, now DD is napping and I'm watching synchronized swimming on the olympics.
Also is anyone else playing no man's sky on pc or playstation? This game is pretty sweet.
I'm not but DH is playing. He downloaded it yesterday afternoon and was up until like 2am playing last night and is now playing while DD naps. He really likes it so far!
I need to get G a going home outfit. I've not bought 1 thing for him yet and I'm starting to feel really guilty about it. The first thing we bought for DS was his going home outfit.

cbrandt1 I'm sorry D had night terrors, poor little guy!
theophania shark vacuums for life! DH is obsessed with ours lol
I was planning on cleaning out my car before installing the base but I didn't think to get it detailed. That's a good idea. Should I take out DS's car seat to have it done?? I also need to see if the two seats can be right next to each other and touching. I'd like to put the baby in the middle to have an extra seat in back.
We're going to the beach today with BIL and our nephews and my friend and her family. I think DS will be in heaven with his cousins and her boys. This is also his first time playing in the ocean.
Guise! I went to Adele last night! She was amazing!!!

It's a slow moving game but it's pretty addicting! Even my three year old is sort of playing it. H let's him shoot the mining gun

It feels very important.
Idk if they have Children's Place out there, but my friend got me a onesie that says Little Brother est. 2016. It's in 6mos, but I'm gonna go and see if they have one in newborn and get a pair of little pants.

AW Adele pics
She's so funny and engaging. She takes a lot of time to chit chat and make you feel like you're just hanging out with her. She even brought these girls onstage and FaceTimed their friend who couldn't go bc she was sick.

I'm so incredibly jealous I could cry. My tix are for 9/14... I just don't think it'll be possible. Do they make newborn sound blocking headphones?
ETA: just looked it up... They do. I'm holding onto a little bit of hope in going. And bringing baby with me.

Oh no! I bet they do! Michael Phelps' little baby has those things!

I came down with a sore throat Friday night, so I was miserable yesterday and did nothing except get my hair cut/colored because I didn't want to deal with rescheduling the appointment.
Today, I decided to ignore my sinus headache because I had to get stuff done. I made blueberry muffins, cleaned all the bathrooms (with DS1's "help",haha), did laundry, went out as a family for lunch and a quick grocery shop. Once we got home I washed/prepped all the produce and started a pot of spaghetti sauce to freeze since I had tomatoes on the verge of going bad. I finally just sat down and put my feet up on the couch, my pelvis and back are a wreck and I'm so tired. I really need to do some nursery/baby stuff but I think I'm done for today.

We're back to the drawing board for names and that gives me anxiety. We were decided on Samuel. But DH brought up that it doesn't "go" with DD's name. Which is true, I'd just grown to accept it. But now he wants something different. Now we've got Archer and Everett on the table instead of Sam. I won't sleep until we decide. Damnit.
We went to tour the hospital yesterday. It's where we had our last one but being there and seeing everything helps me get in the mindset for it. It was so exhausting though. I can barely walk now so basically just lay around. By sciatica pain is becoming really hard to manage. Tylenol does nothing. But I keep telling myself not much time left. My college classes start tomorrow too so I really hope I am able to keep up.
Trigger Warning-- I lost one of my best friends from high school today. He died tragically fighting a wildfire in Nevada. My heart hurts and these pregnancy hormones are not helping!! Sorry to be a Debbie downer of the thread but I needed to get it out somewhere. I'm really freakin sad!
