How much cramping is normal? I don't want to be an alarmist but every pain makes me nervous
Im the same. Currently stressing over this. But it's normal to feel some cramping as things are expanding down there. I was told if they increase in intensity or if it's with bleeding to get it checked out. It's a serious mindfuck at times.

I had quite a bit of cramping up until about 7 weeks. It was like period cramps but not as bad. Now I still get the occasional cramp but it's like once every other day or so. My RE says cramping is fine. If you start to bleed or the cramping is painful enough that you need to take something then you should consult your doctor.
No bleeding, nothing constant but like I stood up from dinner and could feel my uterus
Sounds like just the sensation of your uterus stretching. Maybe even RLP which I think I experience when I roll over in bed and get a sharp pulling feeling.

Plus, your expanding uterus is squishing your intestines, which can also add to the cramping feeling.

I asked yesterday and was told period type cramps are normal and that STM+ will most likely have harder and more intense cramps than they did or remember having with previous pregnancies
This is the second time this pregnancy I've had a migraine. They usually last 2-4 days and are pretty debilitating. I know my migraine medication is not safe. But I'm hoping an extra strength Tylenol might take the edge off enough that I can make it through the work day. My doctors office nurse hot line isn't open until 9 and Google seems to have differing opinions on whether Tylenol is safe.
Please tell me your thoughts. I'm dying here.
Like others said, Tylenol is fine. I took it all the time with dd because I had a ton of migraines first tri. Don't know what you use for migraines, but ask about Fiorocet. That's what I take for migraines and it's safe in pregnancy.

There is lots of research that says b6 helps with morning sickness. Anybody try that? It's in your prenatal, but my doc said to take more on the side. Tylenol is safe, but make sure you only take the right dose. It's shockingly easy to OD on. I learned this from and ARMY doc and now I feel like I need to speak the word. Lol.

I tried just about everything for morning sickness and it didn't work. What worked the best was ginger (ginger biscuits, tea, whatever) and even with that, for a few months all I could keep down was plain white bread with nothing on it - which was boring, gross, terrible for my weight and didn't have much in terms of nutrients

Tried. Didn't do crap for me. Next step was the b6/unisom combo, which also didn't work for me. I'm on 150mg of Zantac a day now
Re: Cramping. My RPL pain has been insane this time. If I get up or roll to quickly it's like being stabbed. On Monday I felt like I could literally be dying I was so sore. It ended up just being a combo of RPL and my uterus being squished between my pelvic bone and (TMI) epic gas building up in my intestine. I'm telling myself this will all get better in second tri.
B6: I'm taking it this time religiously and I haven't thrown up vs. my last full pregnancy where I tossed my cookies every once in a while. So a win but obviously that could also be a different pregnancy thing. My midwife was really pushing Diclectin (Dicglesis?) for morning sickness but the last thing I need this pregnancy is an anti-histamine, I would just never be awake.

Omg. This. So much this with the RLP. I never had it with my first and it's already sooo bad. Idk what I'm going to do when I'm actually "big".

My midwife did prescribe Fiorocet for me today. However she doesn't want me to take it in the first trimester. She recommended taking a magnesium supplement and drinking a cup of coffee when I get a migraine. Then I can take the Fiorocet once I get to second tri.
Does anyone know if a topical ibuprofen is okay? I'm getting conflicting info from both doctors and Google. The best I can get is its not safe in late pregnancy. There's not much info from either sore on taking it in early pregnancy that I've been given or can find from a reliable source. I got prescribed on to help with the inflammation of my ankle

hpnegirl everything I'm seeing says to avoid it unless your doctor deems it "essential" to your care.
But definitely not to take later in pregnancy.
that's what I found, too... He was concerned about the swelling because it hasn't gone down at all in over a week. I'm allergic to Tylenol so that's out of the question. Ice isn't helping in the slightest

RLP is rough this time for me too! I'm glad it's not just me! I saw this really taco acting website showing the uterus size changes and the last picture made me understand exactly why those ligaments hurt!!

If you haven't checked online or called your insurance company, it might be worth it to enroll in a wellness program if they have it. With DD we had Cigna insurance and they had a program that when you enrolled and completed it, they cut you a check after the birth. All I had to do was talk to a nurse once a trimester that called to ask questions and give information. It was the easiest $400 I've ever made. I'll be calling our current insurance this week to see if they do something similar.

Yes! Thanks for the reminder LydiaDeetz. I actually need to call before my first tri is over and I get an extra $100 in my HSA, then another $300 when the baby is born.
