What are your plans for Valentines Day? I'm looking for ideas of something to do with DH that doesn't involve going out to dinner (we always do that) but is 3rd tri friendly as my range of motion and stamina is limited. Any ideas?
Well we are doing dinner and a movie so that is probably not a great idea for you! I'm so excited to go out and get a drink!! My dad is leaving for Canada on the 13th so my mom has nothing better to do than watch her first grandbaby! We decided not to do gifts. Hopefully someone on here will have a good idea for ya!

Unfortunately no! We have our last birth class in the morning and I just can't bring myself to plan anything for that night...sad but true. We'll probably just exchange cards and have a quiet night in before Baby comes!

We actually celebrated Valentine's Day last weekend by going out to dinner. I didn't want to wait until actual Valentine's Day in case I go into labor before then, plus I wanted to avoid the crowds. So, it was nice.
Maybe you can go to one of those Wine & Canvas painting parities or go to a pottery painting studio and make something for each other or LO. Or, maybe there's a local show you could go to, though I imagine things will be booked up at this point.
We are going on a tasting tour at one of our local chocolate factories (bringing the kids too). DD1 has a classmate's bday party one of us will bring her to in the afternoon, while other one finds something to do with DD2. I'm also planning to make one of DH's favorite dinners (and making a huge amount so we get a couple freezer meals out of it as well). As far as gifts, we've already gotten small gifts for the girls and we'll probably all pick out some chocolate after the tour. I will pick DH up some of his favorite beer to go with his special dinner.
My plan is to not kill DH on or before Valentine's Day. He's been a real piece of work lately and I'm not "feelin the love." I seriously hate him right now.
We usually make a special dinner at home to avoid the rush and need to plan in advance. Our go to is really nice steak with cheesecake from the cheesecake factory. Also some type of app like caprese salad and nice wine/liquor. I also do a date night set up....actually set the table with a tablecloth and everything. Its fancy.
If everything goes as scheduled with my induction, we will be coming home that day from the hospital. I think we are going to get take-out sushi and I will likely have a glorious glass of wine!

I have a bottle of wine that's been staring at me for my entire pregnancy. My best friend brought it back from Italy last year, and I was saving it for a special occasion. I will be drinking a glass of that wine on Saturday.
We'll probably just chill at home with take out from our favorite restaurant. I don't do well with crowds when I'm not 10 months pregnant and the size of a house. I would probably cut someone with a butter knife if we tried to go anywhere.

I don't know if we will do anything. I really thought we would have a baby by then, but it looks like he is comfy and wanting to stay. I hope the older kids will go to my parents so that DH and I can just relax and have some quiet time together.
I keep hoping that Alec will be here by then, even though I know I still have another week after Saturday. Then I won't have to plan anything and I'll have a new baby!
I'll either be giving birth or we'll be snuggling with a new baby.
We went out this past Saturday to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day and our last childfree Saturday. Something I've done in the past when I wanted something easy that didn't involve going out, was to get one of those basically premade Valentine's Day meals from the grocery store (so I didn't have to think a lot or do a lot of prep), cook that at home before DH got home, and have a nice candlelight dinner at home. This or just making a fancy meal together at home can be romantic and relaxing.
Also, since it's Saturday, you could do a nice lunch somewhere and not mess with the crowds.
Valentines Day Plan? Yes, I need to get me some of those!
I really don't want to be doing the same thing we've been doing for the last three weekends, which is have dinner and watch TV 'till we fall asleep. On the other hand, I don't have the energy for anything else. Following this thread with interest!

Hanging with the new baby. Also my mom gets here on Saturday afternoon for a week.
Also, we are boring people and rarely do anything for V-day. Usually we just cook a big steak dinner at home with all the fixings and think of the money we saved by not going to a restaurant.

Same thing we do every year. Hubby will grill steaks (even if it snows), I'll make a fancy salad, a nice side dish, and one of hubby's favorite desserts. Add a couple of beers to the mix and some quality adult time and we're all set.
Confession. My sister is going to be here this weekend and my BIL texted me yesterday saying he was sending flowers on Saturday for her. I asked H why he was sending flowers, and that is when he reminded me it was valentines day this weekend.
This is also a reason he loves me, because I hate the holiday so he has zero pressure to do anything for me. We just have to remember not to go out to eat that night

I work all day and hate the crowds. I'll probably make steak for dinner and give dh some chocolate. My birthday is 4 days after valentines so I don't put too much pressure on it.
I have been wanting lobster and the grocery store allegedly had good looking tails so possibly cooking some of those at home - we usually just do a nice dinner out for VD but I really hate that everywhere is crowded. And that's when I can have a drink DH's bday is the following weekend so we will go out for that.
