Age: 21 months
Milestones: 2 and 3 word phrases, telling us when she poops (if we ask), napping alone
Challenges: brushing teeth. I feel like I've tried everything. We let her pick the brush, we let her play with it, we let her brush our teeth, we try to be silly and sing songs. Nothing. Just screaming and flailing like we are torturing her to death. Ugh. Also still only falls asleep for naps in the car.
Funny/cute stories: At dinner on Sunday, we asked her where sister was and she pointed to my stomach.
How are you? Uncomfortable and not believing I have over 2 months left. Trying to figure out how to keep L occupied during the day.
Anything else to share? I'm looking into putting her in a MDO program. I think it will greatly benefit both of us.
QOTW: What day of the week best describes your personality? (Odd, I know, but it was in a book I'm reading and I have no other ideas this week.) Maybe Sunday? I'm pretty into family stuff and I like to do relaxing things. I also like baking a cooking which seem like big Sunday activities for some people.

Age: Two
Milestones: He moved to the two-year-old class at daycare yesterday and did great. I am happy he's with some older kids again, because I think he needs that.
Challenges: It feels like my answer will always be either whining or meltdowns. This week, it's whining.
Funny/cute stories: We had his birthday party at a splash park this past weekend. Every time someone new would show up, his eyes would get big and he'd say "HI!!" He was so surprised to see people he knew.
How are you? Ok. My DH and I are having a bit of a rough week, so that's a bummer and it's affecting my overall outlook.
Anything else to share? I gave R. a ukulele as my birthday present to him, and he LOVES it. He picks it up and strums regularly, and he even plays air guitar when he hears music. I am so happy.
QOTW: What day of the week best describes your personality? Hmmm.... I think Sunday. Quiet, contemplative, mellow and optimistic.
On the advice from another mom, I started telling R. he has animals in his teeth (elephants and tigers are favorites) and he needs to brush them to get the animals. He thinks it's hilarious, and it has really helped. I also made up a little song to include the animals.
Also, I bought a flashing toothbrush, and that has helped a bit as well.
The same mom also told me her dentist said the crying was "loud compliance," so I repeat that to myself whenever he's melting down over tooth-brushing.

Evening, everyone!
@enchanted,Yay for waking up dry, even if it was a fluke! ClassyMrsA, I think a MDO program would be a good thing for both of you! I'm considering putting my little one into one this fall. 2redtulips, Happy birthday to your little!
AFM
Age: 19 months
Milestones: He is finally starting to mimic and say a few words, other than mama and dada.
Challenges: He's moving into the tantrum stage, and he's learning how to disobey. We say no, and he smirks at us and does it anyway. Also, grabbing things off counters since he can now reach them.
Funny/cute stories: He really likes to climb lately, and yesterday, he was climbing onto a small side table into our living room and falling onto the couch (there was like a 1-2 inch gap and I was watching him the entire time). He would fall and laugh hysterically, then climb down off the couch to do it again. Also, he waves at just about everyone now.
How are you? Exhausted. Trying to find a steady enough part-time, work from home job to cover our expenses...
Anything else to share? not today...
QOTW: What day of the week best describes your personality? (Odd, I know, but it was in a book I'm reading and I have no other ideas this week.)

Age: 3
Milestones: She's using fluoride toothpaste. Is that a milestone LOL?
Challenges: I'm in the 'she's 3' camp. Goodness...
Funny/cute stories: She's such a sweet kid sometimes. We had my nieces and nephews over for a sleepover on Saturday, and poor J accidentally pinched my niece's finger in a drawer. Niece was fine after about 20 seconds, but poor J spent the next 30 minutes sobbing and apologizing. We spent 10x more time calming J than we did Niece. And watching all of them play was fun
How are you? Pretty awful right now. We caught a virus from one of my nephews (he wasn't showing any signs of being sick until 11 o'clock Saturday night, of course!). J's fine now, MH is pretty much better, but they have medicine on their side. I was out of work Tuesday and yesterday, but had to come in today. Ugh. At least I got to finish the last season of Downton Abbey yesterday LOL
Anything else to share? Not really. Just getting ready for my godson's baptism Saturday. We're hosting the party afterward, so lots to do between now and noon Saturday.
QOTW: Right now, probably Tuesday. I'm that day after Monday where you're hitting your groove, but you're not really feeling it yet. The Limbo Day

Milestones: We had our 18m shots yesterday and she was almost pleasant for the entire appointment (minus the shots). Normally the screaming starts as soon as she sees the office and doesn't stop until we are long gone. Does that count?
Challenges: Teeth. I'm sure that's what it is destroying our naps this week. Every day after about 45 min - 1hr she wakes up screaming. Except when I go to her she's laying with her eyes closed and is almost inconsolable. It's 50/50 whether I get her settled and back to sleep or that's the end of nap. She cutting all 4 eye teeth at the moment…
Funny/cute stories: We were driving home yesterday and DD2 was getting hungry and starting to get upset. B just kept saying "don't cry _____"!
Anything else to share? Nothing I can think of…
QOTW: I would say Wednesday. I'm not exciting like Friday, or cranky like Monday, I think I just kind of quietly do my thing and fit in most of the time.
