Ok, random question. Lately when I get a big kick or movement from baby, I sometimes hear a small popping sound. It's almost like when you move and a joint pops or something like that. It's kind of weird. No pain or anything from it, it just seems odd to have my abdomen be making popping noises, ya know?
Anyone else experienced this, or am I weirdo?
Yes and I had it last time as well. I was going to add that to the things no one told you thread but kept forgetting.
Anyone ever taken primrose oil for this late in the game? Apparently it softens your cervix or something? I didn't with my first but a friend just asked me if I was taking it and now I am curious.
I did last time starting at 37 weeks. I took them orally until 39 weeks. He was born at 39+5. I'm waiting until we get settled in the new house to start them this time though.
Just finished my appointment for this week. Dilated 3cm and 50℅ effaced. Pretty good progress from 2 weeks ago. OB says that's good, since she wants me to deliver between 39 and 40, so progress now bodes well for that and for an easier induction if I need to have one.
They are slightly concerned that my blood pressure is a little elevated.

I can't see siggys, how far along are you now?
35w6d. OB was very quick to assure me that this does not mean I'm going to go into labor immediately or anything.
So, the OB nurse took my blood pressure one more time and it was still a little elevated. So she said something like "let me go ask her real quick" and left.
That was 10 minutes ago. At what point do I give up and leave?

kerbear, I took EPO orally with both my prior pregnancies starting around 38 weeks, not to try to start labor but to "get stretchy" as my midwife with DD said. My (admittedly anecdotal, with no actual proof, haha) experience is that it helped me not tear either time so I will definitely be doing it again this time.
OMG, on my way to L&D. Dr checked me and I'm dilated to a 6 cervix is thin and baby is very low. Ekk!!
Ahh!!!! Good luck!! I was wondering why this thread was so long! Just catching up now! Also explains the HDBD in a hospital gown which I was hoping was addressed in here!

OMG I'm exhausted. Definitely over did it today. Today was my last day off because of my grandma's passing so I used today to run errands and get stuff done.
Met with our picked pediatrician this morning then had my weekly appt. Starting cervical checks next week (38w) which seems late since a bunch of you have already had some.
Then Target, Walmart, Motherhood Maternity, and BRU. Home for laundry and played with the dog a lot. The stroller arrived today so I put that together and now I have more baby laundry in.
Seriously time to just lay on the couch before my back and hips yell any more.
pismoduo that's pretty good, I would have loved to hear that news when my induction was being discussed last time instead of 'closed and tight' on repeat.
Oh my, it's really hitting me today how close are these babies (and therefore my baby) are from really arriving!

Did she ever come back?
Yea. Apparently she thought the OB was going to come talk to me and the OB thought she was.

Everything ok with your BP?
It is. They're super cautious about it since I have GD and so am at a higher risk for pre-eclampsia. But she seems content to just keep an eye on it for now.
