We also can't do floor changes because even though we vacuum every other day, there's still dog hair. I guess we will just get a new changing station for the first floor since DS1's will be converted to a dresser, and we have to buy G a dresser so we will just make sure it's able to double as a changing station too.
This move is really messing with my nesting and organization.
Meh. Kids who are exposed to dog hair at an early age have fewer allergies.
Besides... I have a Jack Russell and Pomeranian mix. There isn't a surface in my house that doesn't have dog hair on it. I've discovered dog hair on top of the closet organizer in my bedroom. Shit's everywhere. No amount of dusting or vacuuming manages to get rid of it. I washed all my work clothes, put them directly into my suitcase, and somehow still got to the other side of the country with dog hair on my black slacks.
It's like glitter, man. Save
Oh the dog hair! Somehow I can vacuum and 20 minutes later the floor is covered in it again!

cbrandt1 does your pnp have the bassinet part? Maybe that would be high enough for you to use as a changing station. We got a new pnp specifically for downstairs changes.
So much yes to peepee teepees being useless! We used it maybe once then just started putting a wipe over it. I've luckily never been peed on, poor guy always peed on himself, like in the face lol and the baby boner is totally weird at first and takes getting used to. Just point the thing down and fasten the diaper haha

No, we went with a less expensive pnp since we didn't need all the extra stuff last time...hindsight...
Yes, we learned quick that penis MUST point DOWN! And if you see it get firm and the hole start to open, COVER THAT SHIT UP!!! I'd get peed on at like 2 in the morning. So I never saw it coming. Luckily after the first couple months, he stopped peeing. I think the breeze of the fan got him 😂😂
cbrandt1, late to this but we bought a cheap-ish (~$80) changing table off Amazon with our first and used it downstairs for the first year. We change DS on the floor now for the most part, but having somewhere away from the dog to change a newborn was sooooo nice. Especially early on when I was still sore after delivery. We got one with drawers so we could keep diapers away from the dog and it will come in handy again to keep DS away from things for the new baby also!

I think that's what we are going to do. We are currently still changing DS1 on the changing table. We are both so tall that doing it on the ground is much more difficult that it prob should be. Ha ha
Lol I just asked DH if he'd thought about setting up a changing station on the first floor of the new house yet. He agreed that we need something because no way DS1 can chill downstairs while I go up to change G.
We have a pack n play, but it's a basic one that doesn't have a changing station or infant cradle. Not sure what we will do...
Maybe just make up a basket with all of the supplies plus a changing mat or even a few old blankets. Something you could put up out of DS1's reach when you weren't using it.
ETA: I'm lazy and am happy using the floor/couch for diaper changes as long as there's something under baby.
We don't even own a changing table. I just put a receiving blanket on the couch/floor/bed and go from there.

Oh just wait till he starts putting his hand down his diaper to "make sure it's still there"! Lol I constantly have to check to make sure he didn't leave it sticking up or else it's piss city. Good times.
