Ugh hot here too, I wish we had rain.
allycat, Did the doctor recommend the ear tubes? I don't know much about them but I thought in kids who frequent ear aches they put them in. Poor baby that sucks. We had to go through that once and that was plenty so I am sorry you are both dealing with that.
Can't wait I am taking a 4 day weekend so today is the last day of work this week. YAY!

Yeah, we have an ENT appointment next week to talk about them. I guess 5 is the magic number.

allycat I'm sorry to hear your LO is on another EI. Hopefully the ENT recommends tubes !!
I am at work. A busy day, sort of. I am missing E today though! Off on Friday for a family picnic day though so I am pretty stoked. Full disclosure: I try to do the least on my WFH days. So I'm so excited about having Fri off.

We met up with a friend today at the zoo since it finally stopped raining here! Now I'm sitting in the driveway playing on my phone as DD2 is just waking up and DD1 is still sound asleep.
Tonight we have a kickoff picnic for my mom's group so I'm really excited about that.

Ugh I feel you, we have been back in forth to ENT but for my Toddler, he's 3 and will now need a tonsillectomy. Joy.

I hope you guys get some relief soon! Stupid person question though. What symptoms are being exhibited? I keep thinking K might have an ear infection because he digs at his ears all the time, but every single time i've taken him in, all they ever say is that there's some wax. I'm beginning to think I'm missing something.

For us, it usually starts as a cold. Then he gets runny/gunky eyes and starts tugging at his ears. And of course, sleep goes to shit.
This time he didn't really have congestion, but a cough, runny eyes, tugging his ears and up every hour at night.

poor guy. I've only heard good things about kids getting tubes put in so I hope it helps if that's what they recommend.

I wish it would rain here! Maybe then we could get relief from some of this hot and humid weather.
So I hung out with a friend and her baby. I realized that her baby had only one expression. Her face never changes. It's always this super shocked eyes wide open face. It's really weird and I can't get the image of that kids face out of my head.
5th one and my kid turns 9 months next week. That's some bullshit right there.
Ugh, we went through that with DD1. They were constant, DH was like never at work (luckily his job can handle that). We saw and ENT and got super frustrated, they wouldn't even discuss tubes until she was one because he said more often than not they grow out of it. She did. Right around one. But it was a huge PITA and a whole year of pissed off baby and us having to just watch her be sick trying antibiotic after antibiotic. Major BS.
Cleaning my house tonight so we can leave for my moms tomorrow. I'm very excited for the adult interaction!! The things DD1 says are very cute, wonderful and sweet but all day long listening to the nonsense is maddening.
I just don't want to the adult in the house sometimes. I love my kids so much but the mommy lifestyle sometimes drives me crazy. I wish I could put on some nice clothes, go out for a drink, and sleep uninterrupted for 12 hours. But I would settle for just going to the bathroom by myself.

Got way too little sleep last night. E has been home for two days since they called us Monday about HFM. Looks like tomorrow is another grandma day. And thank goodness for her because H can't stay home and I only get 10 sick days per year. I would have used half of them this week! MIL said, "You need to save your sick days for YOU, you're probably going to need them!" THANK YOU. She's right. I probably will.
But I'm exhausted. At least E is obviously feeling fine and is back to her almost annoyingly happy, energetic self. We got her a little push walker and she's starting to figure it out.
Work is interesting. I've never had so many students show up for band or orchestra without an instrument? I can't supply everything, people. I try and do what I can, but I have $450 for the program. But I like the kids in my classes. They give good answers and have thoughts and it's good to be around people again.
But mostly I'm just tired and stressed. I feel like all I do is play catch-up from losing time while pumping. And E's teeth are really starting to make themselves noticed when she nurses. I just need to make it a little longer...

Lmao I am feeling the exact same
Yeah..... I don't have multiple but... it would be nice to adult!!

It's been raining here for days. We need it, but it's super weird for August.
Same here. We've had no rain all summer really so we needed it but it's poured everyday for the last almost week now. I think today might be the first day it doesn't.
