@tifga I'm sure I missed something, but why is Haddie not allowed to go just because of age? If it's a normal run of the mill wedding it does seem rather odd to not be able to bring your child.
It's a child free wedding. Except for the bride's niece she's going.
I have feels about this.
My friend E had a kid free wedding. Our friend A showed up at her house three days before crying about how unfair it was that she couldn't bring her DD. A lives five minutes from the venue and her mom was going to watch her DD. E stood her ground, A went kid free and had a great time, until the church organist stopped by for maybe five whole minutes with her kid of her hip. A proceeded to pout the rest of the night before her H and her left early. It was a serious cluster fuck situation.
cnf2013 hiii!! I took some time away because my personal life got extremely crazy after my birth. H went through some kind of mid life/pp crisis and our marriage kinda went to hell for awhile. Thankfully things have been looking up and we pulled through it. We've been doing really well for the last couple months and I just needed all of my attention on working things out. I've really missed you all though and have thought about checking in but I didn't want to do any drive by posts and waited until I could really be a part of the board again. So glad to be back!

I have feels on kid-free weddings too. I understand some people have that preference, I am just not one of those people.
Ellie took a tumble off the bed today And somehow landed sitting up on her butt. She wasn't even upset, just really confused.
EG was standing and holding onto the footrest of the reclined love seat last night like she always does. She quit paying attention and fell to her butt and looked at me like WTF just happened mama?
I get to go to Aspen this fall! I'm still sad to leave my baby for so long (I'll be gone 9 overnights), but I'm meeting a friend- someone I've met on the road and have traveled with for a few years- and we just coordinated our travel schedules and hotels and decided to do the Aspen event together! She's getting married soon, so we're both in a new life stage. It'll be fun to catch up. Can someone remember this post in a month when I'm lamenting about leaving? Lol

How have you been doing?
I'm glad that whatever went awry is looking up for you.
I'm good! We moved, both got new jobs, and are building a house, so a lot of busy going on!
Kid free weddings..I've never been to one but I guess to each their own. Kid free receptions I can understand because they're usually later and involve alcohol. I hope you have fun anyways @tifga.
cnf2013 congrats on the jobs and move. I'm glad things are going well for you. We moved cities and I think that helped us alot. Fresh starts and new happy memories!
Like not even just thin fabric normal car seat covers, not a special protection thing? I keep them on all seats in all my cars.
Hmmm that I'm not sure about. Maybe rainbowsockmonkey could weigh in on this?
Seat covers on the actual vehicle seats aren't recommended. Are the covers from the manufacturer of your vehicle, or ones that you bought at a store that is a generic fit for the seats?
We went to a restaurant with Ethiopian food tonight. I was bold and gave Margs a strip of chicken to chew on. She loved it! and managed to eat about half of it (it was a small piece). I'm sure this will back fire on our drive tomorrow...

Omgggg child, go to sleep! He fought his afternoon nap hard, finally got him down late afternoon but it was short. He was SO tired that we started bedtime a half hour early, and it took me 2 hours to get him down. Every time he'd fall asleep, he'd wake back up looking to nurse, half asleep. Once I finally got him in his crib, he's been up every 20-30 min since. He's just so far beyond exhausted at this point. I don't know how to get the poor guy some sleep.
