The only makeup I wear on a regular basis is a little coverup compact makeup over blemishes or red spots. I've tried getting into it more in the past, but I have no idea what I'm doing and get annoyed by taking the time to put it on and take it off. So I just don't wear anything else.
But.... I have some pretty noticeable dark circles under my eyes. My skin is very pale and being tired is a way of life right now, so they never go away. Currently I use the same compact makeup to cover them up a little bit, but I am sure there's something better I could be using. Under eye concealer or something like that? Anyone have some suggestions on what to try?

First of all, under eye circles can be made worse by seasonal allergies. DD2 and I get them so bad this time of year, I had a policeman stop me at the grocery store and ask if I was "safe" at home.
I would use a concealer, but it's kind of a trial and error to find the right shade. Do you have a Mearl Norman or know anyone who sells Mary Kay? Whether you but their products or not, it might be worth it to do a consult with them? They'll help you find the right shades for your skin and show you how to apply. Then you could just go to the makeup counter at Walmart or something and pick up cheaper products.
I happen to use Mary Kay almost exclusivity because I break out from so many products, and they will do a money back guarantee so I can return or trade products I can't use.
I personally use Boi-ing concealer from Benefit. I think it covers well, and I don't have to use much of it because of its coverage ability. I just went to Sephora to use their testers to get the right shade. I think as a general rule for under-eye concealer, if you apply some of the tester to the inside of your wrist, you want it to be slightly lighter than the skin color there. I haven't had any issues with using a shade that matches the inside of my wrist though. I would also recommend a primer if you want some staying-power. For that I just use a face primer from Maybelline.
Do you have an Ulta nearby? I would start there. The girls there are usually very helpful and they have both drugstore and prestige makeup brands, so you can spend as much or as little as you want
My under eye circles are primarily genetic so I haven't really found anything that totally does the trick. Currently I am using MAC undereye concealer and am going to pick up a color correcting palette from NYX

Ulta is my brother's fiancee's favorite makeup store and I think we have one somewhere nearby. I will ask her where it is. I'm super cheap so drugstore brands is what I like to hear, haha!
