10 week old sleeping a LOT more than usual (daytime)

Hi ladies!
Probably stupid FTM worry here, but my little lady has all of a sudden started taking 1.5-2hr+ naps when she used to just take 40-50min dozes all day. She still gives us her usual 3.5-5 hr sleep at night before waking to eat and going back to bed for 2 or so hrs a couple times before being up for the day, but her daytime sleep has increased dramatically since Saturday. She got her 2 month shots on Thursday last week, but I'm sure those effects have worn off by now. I've just been letting her sleep, but should I be worried...? I think, but am not sure, that I've noticed some mucus in her poo at times this week, and she's been pooping a lot more often and spitting up a lot (but has been doing these last 2 things for a few weeks now, though)...but I'm probably just exaggerating the spit up amount - I'm sure it's normal and I'm just worried
Thoughts, advice...? I'm sure I'm just being a FTM stereotype but I figured I'd ask...

Hmmm, I don't know if it's normal, but Liam has been sleeping a LOT during the day yesterday and today. He is teething, though. He has two little teeth trying their damnedest to poke through. Super drooly, and his poops are a bit looser because of all the extra drool swallowing (according to what I've read).

He got his shots two weeks ago and he is 12 weeks old tomorrow.

I'm just making assumptions here but it sounds like your LO is just getting better at transitioning from one REM cycle to the next without waking. Most LOs tend to consolidate their sleep down to 4 naps during the day by now. Also, our LOs are starting to increase saliva production right about now too. If you saw mucus in her poop, then I'm pretty sure you should be bringing that up to her pediatrician.

@aluztiano - My LO is 11.5 weeks and has just started (for a week now) a 3 hour nap in the morning and a 2.5 hour nap in the late afternoon. I have also seen mucous in her poop. I really think she is starting to teethe. Also a FTM and was worried about the increased sleep, but she seems pretty happy? Following this thread because I'm curious too! j3nnyb I've read about the REM cycles and that makes sense! I didn't realize the loose/mucous-y poops were cause for alarm, though!

Thanks everyone. I've been suspecting teeth since she's drooling a lot and eating her fist, also she's been crankier than usual...but the pedi said it's too early and she had no buds...hmmm. I'll ask at her next appt in 2 weeks. Maybe growth spurt?
