Welllllp, looks like DH is gonna be pissed. His sister used our girl name we had picked out before we found out DS was male. On her dog. Second time this has happened. His brother took our top boys name last time for his dog.

I'm not the nicest person so take this with a grain of salt- I'd still use the name and tell them to get over it

I would have a hard time dis-associating the name from the dog in my head more than I would worry about hurting the dog owners' feelings if it were me.

I'm leaning towards Margaret, nn Maggie or Margot. No idea for a boy. The only name I like us William, but there are elventy billion of them! DD is Penelope nn Penny. I liked Bennett for a boy last time but Ben and Penny seems weird.

ourcrazynavylife I have a preference for Jacqueline (obviously lol) but Joanna and Susanna are lovely. DH has a Johanna (Jo-han-a, like hans without the s) who goes by JoJo and a Susannah for cousin. Both are very lovely people. I like Vanessa but think of Vanessa hudgens when I hear it so it kinda nicks it for me
I can't get behind Rhett though. I work with a Nathaniel who goes by Nate when not on paper
ourcrazynavylife it seems like all the names that I get attracted to just keep growing. My older son is Olive.r and I s surprised to see how many their are nowadays
The bf has boys narrowed down to Hunter and Easton. Girls are Audrey, Harper and Stella (my favorite)

The benefit to having two babies at once...you each get to name one. I was dead set on one girl name and told DH I'd let him have more say on the second baby's name. He just happened to pick a name I like a lot. So we're golden! I'm sure it won't be that easy if we have a singleton kid after this haha.
Whether it's a boy or girl, we have a name picked out. We have the boys name picked out from last time, and I, solely, get to pick the girls name. DDs name is very hippie - Rain. I am a hippie at heart, and get made fun of by DH sometimes.
We have friends who named their 1.5 year old son Atlas. Their older son also has the middle name Danger. First name Max. No joke.
My cousin named his son after gun companies. With the last name of Smith, it was easy for them lol. (He's an arms instructor for the military, not a crazy guy. Wanted to clarify.)

I only had a girls name and I was head over heals in love with it. I had never considered it until I was pregnant so I'm pretty sure she chose her own name and put it in my head. I told H if it was a girl he had no say. He really didn't care because he wanted a boy. I did let him pick the middle name out of 2 choices. I always thought I'd use Lor.raine as its grandmas MN but he picked our cats name instead. If we have another girl my vote is Jill.ian Lorra.ine so we shall see how that goes. If we have a boy, I'd like to honor my grandfather and father some how but not set on it. Ma.ura Luc.ille is named after my mom entirely. (Mar.yLou) Except Lou in her name came from Lorra.ine.
We narrowed down to a list of about 10. I'm trying to win my husband over to Iris. I'm liking it more and more each day. Here's our list if anyone wants to weigh in.
(poof) is our girls pick but we haven't told anyone IRL because Hs family is super judgmental. We never announce baby names before hand either, only after the birth. We're completely stuck on a middle name though. I want to use family or something traditional for our cultures (Irish/Welsh/French) but it's not working so well.
Boys names welllllllll that's definitely not anywhere near being solved yet. He hates my picks. I hate his. We agree on one name but only on how it's said. Spelling... hahaha no. He hates the way I want it spelled and I think his way of spelling it is too unique to allow. (Poof) is how I want it spelled, H likes (enter dumb spelling here). 😳
