What's everyone up to?
I just got home from body pump and I'm cuddling with a LO who is feeling crumby from her vaccines yesterday. Lots of cuddles until nap time. Other than that I work tonight and tomorrow night--so not much going on here.
Just surviving today. LO woke up a total crab ass today so just getting through it and praying she is better behaved tomorrow. So many time outs today...and not even lunchtime!

DD just learned how to say "bye-bye" and it is adorable, except now when I put her in time out and walk away she just says "bye-bye!" so happily like "okay mommy, see you later!" Not sure how to feel about that.
Otherwise, just a rainy lazy day and I already got a nap!
H is taking me out for dinner later so I'm trying not to eat too many snacks so I can eat something. Smaller meals are working better for me, but I'm still planning on pigging out tonight

The baptism party just ended and was a success! Food was delicious, guests were fun, and the baptism was beautiful. J plays so well with younger kids. Gives me hope for her as a big sister

Yesterday I canned 14 quarts of peaches, helped my friend get her classroom ready for school on Wednesday, and MH's nana cane to visit. I made peach upside down cake and pizza. DS hasn't seen nana since Christmas, so he was pretty scared of her at first, but he warmed up to her and they had a great time. He loved her cane, in particular! She was on good behavior, too, so it was a fine visit. She can be a bit grumpy sometimes.
Today I'm planning on crocheting like mad when I'm not actively caring for DS. I'm a little over 1/3 done with this blanket. FX I can get it done before Saturday!!
Taking my little gimpy man to see Ice Age on Ice this afternoon. He's probably still a little too young but we won the tickets through the radio, so no harm no foul if he can't sit through it.
MIL is also coming in from OOT and staying the night tonight. Hallelujah - it's DH's week to stay home with the kid, so he gets to entertain her tomorrow instead of me.

Yesterday I assisted at a birth all day and MH took DD to the community day at our movie theater. A good experiment like madam23 to see how she would sit through a show before we spend money to see the Daniel Tiger live Broadway show. We went to church this morning and now I'm waiting to get called for another birth.

Hi! I'm back! MIL was here for a week and I tried to stay off of screens. She cooked, she cleaned, she spoiled my kid (in a good way). He's sad and asking for "Bram?" and I'm sad because I have to start thinking about dinner plans. I'm so, so thankful she came, though. The break was awesome and now I just have to *keep* my house clean instead of *get* my house clean.
I'm a birth assistant for our midwife at the birth center and also teach Birth Boot Camp childbirth education. I'm looking into getting my doula certification bit haven't yet.
Hi! We just got back from vacation! I have laundry going and suitcases unpacked. Now I'm lounging and catching up.
We went to Canada for 4 days. We camped with my parents, and went to African Lion Safari, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the Welland Locks. Oh -- and IKEA!! We got DS a big boy bed that I'm very excited about. Our campground had an awesome splash park that DS just loved. It was a really nice trip. It seemed like it took forever to get home -- the bridge crossing was pretty slow. At one point, we were just stopped. I had to pee, so I just ran back to the camper to do it!
The border patrol agent lives in the same neighborhood as we do, so it made for a very smooth crossing.
Working! My back is SO much better. I "lucked" out Friday night with an assignment of a very critical baby that you don't touch very much so I didn't have to move a lot, which helped my back immensely. And then slept all day Saturday and that helped, too. I feel normal again. Thank goodness I was able to take a muscle relaxant bc turns out they're category B and I shoved it in my mouth so fast when DH made the discovery.
I am so anxious for tomorrow! I'm going to ask our dr what the sex is bc I can't wait until 20 weeks, but if DH wants to wait, that's fine. I can't wait to get another pic of our little one and finally start telling our close friends and family!
Back to work at 7p tonight. At least I slept most of the day!

MH is at a fantasy football draft party. I attempted to hang some of the closet organizer stuff and instantly realized that was a dumb idea. So I hung up one rack and called it quits. I'll build drawers and storage cubes when he's here. I can't math...

addymac, you still haven't told people? You are a better secret keeper than I!
Haha no... We told my parents and sister and his mom, but we were waiting for the genetic screen results bc of the cysts and then decided just to wait Til the u/s on Monday to make sure everything is okay bc I still feel very nervous. (What if the cysts are still there, what if the screen didn't catch something, what if the baby stopped growing... What if what if what if!!) so I want the reassurance of everything looking okay before I start sharing.
This pregnancy so far has been nothing like what I expected bc of the cysts so I'm being overly cautious and a ball of nerves now.
