So L was awake for 14 hours straight yesterday, with only 10 minute cat naps here and there. Dude just slept 7 hours straight! I woke up freaking out that he hadn't been up yet.
Don't know that the trade-off was worth it though, yesterday was rough.
This was my older son. With the exception of random car or stroller naps, he basically didn't nap until 15 months. We had many days where he slept for literally zero minutes. Yes nights were generally good unless it was teething season, but I lost my mind daily. I would have taken an extra night wake up to get a day nap in there.
Hope you feel rested today though!
Oh man, that would be brutal. Sorry you had to deal with that, I don't know if I could handle it! If L turns out like that I will need to buy stock in hiking boots because we will be taking all the walks.
W should be done pooping for at least 12 hours. Two huge dirty diapers during last night.
I wish that were the case for my baby! He seriously poops every 3-4 hours, sometimes twice in an hour. I like to tell him he's already full of shit lol.
housecarder that is devastating. I'm so sorry for your friend.
housecarder I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's son. No parent should ever have to go through that. She and her family/friends will be in my thoughts. Do they know what happened?
{Click here to see more.} They said unresponsive, which is usually code for SIDS, but he was almost a year old if not a year already which seems really late for that. I haven't heard anything more yet. I didn't want to bombard the family with questions so I am just waiting for the news to travel through the church.

housecarder I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. So sad.
littlesthobo H has been doing this and not sleeping during the day. She then sleeps for very long stretches at night. It's a trade off as I like her sleeping at night but I can't get anything done during the day

I just heard that he was 15 months old. He had been running a fever but was acting fine. They put him to bed and when they came in to check on Hingis lips were blue and he was unresponsive. They couldn't revive him and neither could the paramedics. They won't have the full autopsy report for 8 days.

Jesus, that is so awful. Again, my deepest sympathies to all of you.
My mom offered to take L until 6am so that I get a full nights sleep.(!!!!!) I'm about to go to bed but I just wanted to say how excited I am for this since I don't have a partner to have the option to do any MOTN stuff. 7 sweet hours of sleep, here I come!
I had to wake H up to help at 4:45. I don't know what else to do.
B has been grunting and squirming in his crib for 30 minutes. He's asleep, not crying, but I haven't gone to get him. I feel bad....but I don't know what else to do. I have him gas drops at 2, gripe water at 4:30.
Add me to the shitty sleeper camp... Sam's first stretch was two hours, second stretch a little over one 😞 And now he seems wide awake. I thought around week six things tended to start getting better, not worse!

Somethings gotta give
If he's asleep and not crying, I think you're good. Grunting and squirming without crying are ok in my book. Unless I'm reading your post wrong.... Regardless, I hope you get some sleep soon!

Same here. We seem to be getting worse too. DD1 was not a good sleeper so I thought I might get a break this time. Nope.

So frustrating! When did DD1 eventually turn a corner? Do I not want to know the answer? Haha

No, you're reading it right. He's totally asleep not crying. Grunting, groaning and thrashing. His feet around. No rest here. Everyone is awake now.

She didn't start consistently STTN until 8.5 months. And dropped naps at 26 months. She hasn't STTN for almost a year now and is 4.5 years old. I need to sleep train but how do you sleep train a 4.5 year old? I'm just going to buy stock in Starbucks.

The grunting is horrible. Keeps me up too and wakes up DD1. I don't know what to do about it either. If I figure it out I'll let you know. Hope you have some coffee!
