She didn't start consistently STTN until 8.5 months. And dropped naps at 26 months. She hasn't STTN for almost a year now and is 4.5 years old. I need to sleep train but how do you sleep train a 4.5 year old? I'm just going to buy stock in Starbucks.
Have you tried the OK to Wake clock? It has a red, yellow, and green light that you set for them. If they wake up in the MOTN and its red they need to go back to sleep, yellow means they can play quietly in bed or in their room (books, quiet toys) and green means they can get up. Maybe do a reward system for when she follows the rules.
We swear by our clock! I started it when ds1 was 2 yrs old and he took to it from day one. He wakes up about 40 minutes before his clock turns green. He either lays quietly or plays in his bed until it's green. Best thing ever!
Got a three hour stretch tonight! Hopefully we all have another good one.
I've been waking DH regularly to burp and put B in the crib if it's before 3:00. It's helping me a lot. He, on the other hand, does not do well with broken sleep. Sorry dude.

Yup. We have the click. Have tried sticker charts and marble jars. Haven't been able to find a reward that is more incentivizing than being with us.
Just had a 4.5 hour stretch for DD2. I ended up getting most of it thankfully! Except my right boob was rock hard when she woke up. Forgot what that was like.

M is awake and staring at me..he's quiet and calm and just fed so obviously not hungry...do I attempt to sleep or wait for him to fall asleep? I might just stare back and see who falls asleep first.

We had to do nightly rewards for a while with DS. Small pieces of candy and a ton of cheering and high fives in the morning. And if he got up before the clock was green me or H just took him back to bed every single time, making sure not to do a whole routine. He didn't get books or songs or prayers or us staying in there. We just said it's bedtime still and laid him down and covered him up and left. It took a few nights and at first it was really rough with him getting back up 4-5 times the first night but after a few nights he realized getting up doesn't get him any more attention or sleeping in our bed so he stopped.
A friend brought over gripe water because F was being SO fussy tonight. I'm sitting here reading the bottle (because what else do I have to do ) and the only medicinal ingredient in gripe water is baking soda! May just make my own then.
5:30am is never a good time for sex. But I'm not a morning person, so there's that.
L has not improved in his sleep habits at all yet. I can't wait til it at least becomes 3 or 4 hours at a time instead of 1.5-2. Especially since he takes almost an hour to fall back asleep almost every time.
