Today was so rough. I served pizza rolls for dinner. Then Popsicles, then triscuits and goldfish. Winning.
I've served dinners like that especially on days when I'm solo parenting and can't get my shit together. I figure they eat pretty balanced most of the time. Then I promise to do better tomorrow.
I mean, I probably won't but it's nice to have goals.
@janetheconquerer snack meals are a regular thing at our house. My toddler asks for salad for half his meals so I feel no guilt.
But let's be honest. He could have peanut butter sandwiches for half his meals and I'd still call it a win if he ate SOMETHING. Toddlers are the world's worst food critics - they don't eat and still hate everything you put in front of them.
Omg joi922, you got it right, toddlers are the devil when it comes to eating. She says she wants chicken and French fries, she gets it and cries because it's not pizza.
skinandbones, fx for your H and your sanity. Because I know that's what you want back the mist.
Yes C was seeming defective the other night. But to give him benefit of doubt, he was feeling off and had a low grade temp. We will be trying again. (My sister posted video of him flinging it off his hands and wiping it on his cousins face to FB). It should be on my page, I think it's worth a chuckle.
W woke up at 6 but then fell back asleep so now I'm just figuring out how much time we need to get to his 12 month appt on time. After his appt we're going to check out the rec center and probably put our deposit down. I'm excited because it's not our house so we can invite more people to it and have seating/space.
My sister in law doesn't allow noisy plastic toys or big toys for her kids.
So my in laws (her parents) bought E a plastic singing scooter and SIL bought a giant tunnel thingie that takes up half the (huge) play room.
I don't mind either thing, we don't have a ton if toys and Evelyn doesn't know the scooter needs batteries, but I feel Like this is 3 years of repressed toy shopping for them and she's in for a lot of loud and large junk in the future....

It's moving dayyyyy! Up early making coffee and loading up a bunch of smaller random things in the car. Also a shower needs to happen, yuck. DH found out yesterday morning that a meeting he's running has to be moved up to today (it's supposed to be tomorrow). Which means he's going in today and I'm on my own with 3 movers 2 kids and a partridge in a pear tree. I plan on barricading the kiddos in the kitchen with some toys and apologizing for the wails over and over. Movers will be here in a few hours. Can't WAIT for this day to be done 😜

Invest in ear plugs now!!!
And buy your sisters kids the loudest most obnoxious toy . Because if you gave to live with it then so does she.

I see a toy tool set (must have hammer) and toy piano in her future.
So annoyed by opposing counsel. Either your clients want to settle or they don't. So sorry you don't like the terms that are REGULATED BY STATUTE but I am done talking about this. I can't even describe how much I want this guy to go away. I'm starting to think that's his strategy: annoy the other side until they give you what you want.
@betweenthelines, great news about the lead level!
This is my last week of clinical work before I'm taking off time in between jobs. I have so much to do this week and the work is definitely going to head into the weekend and into early next week. Everybody wants a piece of me and I procrastinated on some projects.

Hoping E sleeps in again today which would allow us to get out of the house. I hate being trapped in the house due to naps in the morning. I'm thinking of heading to an indoor jump house. But it's also nice outside. So playing outside should probably happen.
Tonight my moms club is have a picnic and I'm excited. It's bring your own meal and I'm at a loss of what to bring DS1. I was thinking pb&j but then I remembered its to be but free. Looks like he's stuck with a ham sandwich
W had his 12 month appt. 4 shots and a heel prick so he's not a happy camper. He's still dropping off his curve on weight which sucks and they mention every time but also tell me to keep doing what I'm doing and not to worry. We'll it's hard not to worry when you point out that he's dropping off his curve but w/e. W is passed out and I'm eating my feelings.
Question: if you saw an 11 yr old boy (maybe younger) walking 2 dogs and swatting one with its leash (where it was cowering away from him) would you say something? I drove past and then saw it and opened my window and told him to stop it and that's not how you get dogs to behave but now I'm thinking I over stepped my bounds.

You're a grown up and a mother. Not over your bounds.

This post should make me silver!
House inspection in two hours. I can't wait to see the inside again. Pawning off the older two on a friend. They are already deafening me with their fighting. They're fighting to sit on the same spot on the couch. They're equally matched in strength. This could go on for hours.

I agree. Would also say something. The animal doesn't have a voice, so good for someone else to say something.
