Well, we're all a little more or less one third of the way through! I've persuaded my aunt to keep DD (easy) for a weekend coming up soon so DH and I can do something fun together. I am not sure what yet.
Also, I have slept like shit the past 3 nights. I keep waking up on my back My belly hurts in the middle of the night so I think it's time to break out the snoogle. I didn't use it last time until close to 20 weeks.

Already dealt with an annoying client issue this morning. This day is not starting out well.
But we got a good amount of the closet organizers done! And we'll paint this week after J goes to bed. FX we can get some of this knocked out and plan furniture delivery in the next two weeks. I'm so ready to be back in my room...
Jealous that you're feeling movement so frequently, sweetieheart32. My AL brain and dreams have been very frequent lately.

Oh yeah! And I think I found a nanny for next summer. Our DC has been undergoing some changes, and we're just not sure if we want to send a new baby to the center. We'll keep J there because she only has another year and a half until she's in kindergarten, but we're not committed to 5 years with another kid.
Turns out one provider that we love from the infant room is leaving! And she's looking for a nanny position for the summer months!!!! We agreed to trade info. FX this works out for the two of us and we have some additional time to figure out DC for Sweat Pea!

I don't have to be at work until later and DD is at school. I need to take a nap and organize my house because it looks like a tornado went through here. But I'm sitting on the couch watching TV instead.

I'm sitting here waiting on DS's PT session to be over. Then it's time to Eat!!! I was hungry on our way here an hour and a half ago. I wish I had been more with it this morning to pack myself some snacks.

I'm canning my last batch of peaches this afternoon. Hooray! My kitchen is seriously a wreck - there are jar lids everywhere and jars of peaches ready to go to the basement, and clean jars, and yada yada. Too bad I will only get a little break before I need to start canning pears...
It's actually cooler here today, so DS and I spent some time outside this morning. Back to warm weather later this week, so I wanted to enjoy it today. I'm so ready for fall! Also, is it a horrible thing to safety pin the strap of DS' hat so that he can't pull it off constantly? He's a pale blondie, and I want his head covered, but the Velcro was not made to withstand babies.

I am done with work for today other than a little paperwork which can wait until after I go to the pool. I just finished lunch from Wawa which was absolutely delicious. It was much needed after leading a lunchtime meeting about weight loss in the cafeteria with all the smells. Luckily, there were no smells that made the stomach turn.
@oldbaylover so cool about a potential nanny! I am not thrilled with some changes at our DC, so I'm considering looking for a new center for both kiddos. It is daunting, so how nice that something kind of fell in your lap!
shawnabm1320 A small, thin safety pin may be enough to keep the hat on but little enough that it would bend before choking your son if he got stuck on something. Master R can almost do a pull-up, so I don't know what I'll do with him.

Thanks! It's sad - we really loved our DC, but the last two years we've seen a slow but steady decline in some areas. Not enough to make us move J, but enough to possibly not enroll another kid
I'm just kind of freaked out about the cost of a nanny though. Paying her may cost us more than DC in the end. Of course there's convenience and trust and our existing relationship.... all of which are more important. But I still gotta pay my bills, yo!
Plus, I told my mom about this over the weekend and she was a bit offended. I think she secretly wants us to need a nanny so she can quit her job and work for us. On one hand, cheap childcare. On the other, she lives far enough away that this would not be as convenient as she thinks... Ugh...

oldbaylover1024 the price of 2 needing childcare scares me. Period. Ugh. DS's room had so much turnover last year. Like every other week there was a new teacher in there. I was not okay with it, and I'm wondering if it's a symptom of a larger issue or just a fluke. If it happens in his new room this year, we will be moving on. DS is a cautious, shy kid, so new faces constantly is a problem for him.

That's one of our issues, too. J's a pretty spunky kid, so she's very go-with-the-flow. But in two years they've lost at least 5 of our FAVORITE teachers, the old-school ones that know good childcare. J loved all of them and still talks about them. So sad...
Plus, lack of communication. The bi-weekly emails stopped, everything is communicated last minute, teachers don't seem to have a damn clue what's going on... I'm just over it.
But yeah, two kids in DC is freaking me out. At least for us it's only 1.5 solid years of hell. Then, J will be in public kindergarten.
