Morning! M peed out her diaper this morning. That hasn't happened since she was a newborn! So she was up earlier than usual, but it gave us time to do a proper breakfast before DC and work.
She's in the toddler class full time, as of today. Woot! She already knows this teacher. The biggest change will be eating at a table instead of in a highchair. Otherwise, it's business as usual. We're hoping her eating directly next to the other kids will encourage her to try more foods. FX!
malvo do they just sit at kids tables to eat? Are they strapped in still? I can't imagine A sitting down to eat without being strapped in so she can't escape! Fx M eats better soon though!
sjep922 The tables and chairs are low to the ground (no strapping them in) so they can't kill themselves if they get up and leave without permission. They have the kids pretty well trained, though. It's amazing!
They run around like maniacs as breakfast is made and everyone gets their hands washed. Then it's *silence* as they sit down and eat. It's comical how quiet the room gets.

Some catching up from the weekend...
ruemorgan CONGRATS on the promotion! That's awesome that they'll backdate your raise.
ladymike I think your hair looks cute! I get what you mean though. Hopefully once you get used to the length and find a couple quick ways to style it you'll be happy until it grows out a bit.
malvo Both my kids eat better when they sit at the table with the other kids. I remember the first time I walked into H1's tod's room and saw 15 toddlers sitting quietly in chairs at a table eating. I told the teachers it was obviously sorcery.

I can't imagine that! lol. I figured they would be close to the ground, but all of them sitting and eating without being strapped in? That's awesome.
We gave up the highchair a couple months ago. They aren't strapped in at DC and she would do that awful tantrum BS when I'd try to put her in it at home. So, she has a little kid table in the kitchen now. Mealtime in our house is a freakin' circus now, though; I don't know what kind of magical powers those DC girls have to keep them all quiet and still in a chair.
So, hi. I'm here. I drank a lot of wine last night for some dumb reason. Hahaha. Sorry, I totally drunken drive by'd the Sunday thread. I didn't get to bed until 11!! My 21 year old self would be like, 'You're so lame!!!" I feel pretty okay, though. Chugging my coffee. Ha.
And the shitty humidity/insane temps are gone! It's beautiful out there.
Morning it is amazing how quickly they learn to sit and eat with other kids.
My mom told (warned) ne my brotber and his gf mainly his gf want to take e for an afternoon this week. E barely knows them and my brother still acts like an idiot with her. Yeah no that will not happen. K (gf) said she will be fine she just has to cry and get over it when she is with us. My mom said she could be with them but not letting them just take her. K didnt like that idea. I reminded my mom she has the authorization in case anything where to happen to e she can approve medical stuff until i get there.
@megaugust10 Yeah, no. My child is not allowed unsupervised with people she doesn't know well. M needs to first show contentment with a person and the person has to prove to be responsible before unsupervised baby adventures can happen. I don't blame you for not agreeing to that. I would not be comfortable either.

We haven't had Hunter in a high chair for a few months. Both kids are in boosters at the dining room table. But they're strapped in. I love meal time. I get to sit on my couch and only occasionally turn around to make sure they're both eating.
Except yesterday when I turned around during lunch and found Haden asleep. Tipping over. LOL.
Thank goodness it's Monday! My body is worn out, we normally ship out 240k a day and this week we were expected to ship out 380k. Which we did! We are going to go turn in Wayne's papers for school and ask some more questions, and he will start school on the 29th! I'm excited/scared and a bit sad.
I'm not sure what we'll do with M. We have a high-top kitchen table with bar stools. Her high chair converts into a tall booster, but it's not tall enough for our table. Sooooo... NO CLUE... any ideas?

Before we were using our island but now eat at the table. Could you get a stool with a back and put a booster seat on there? We have a booster on the island stool that e sits at for watching us get dinner ready or play doh.

malvo I was going to suggest something like what @megaugust10 did. The boys eat at the dining room table, but kitchen table is also bar height with just lower bar stools so they can never sit there. I want to replace the stools with taller chairs that have backs though, which theoretically could accommodate a booster chair. (IDK why we would since we have the other table but it would help you...) I've been looking at stuff like these... www.wayfair.com/Sally-30-Bar-Stool-ATGR4877-ATGR4877.html
Thanks for the tips, @megaugust10 and pearsforpoops! We used to have a regular table, but we opened part of the wall and made a high top table in that wall (we were clearly not thinking about kids).

Apparently the building closes at 3:30 today; I thought I had to work until 4. I'm not telling DH because then he will want to go see his dad on his own instead of taking the kids. Newp. Take the rascals, I am going to come home and enjoy some alone time with my dog.
Nothing much happening today. Took the boys to storytime and now they are playing in the yard. Our nephew came over yesterday and wore the boys out, they slept 2.5 hours at nap and didn't wake up until 630!

D got sent home from daycare for a rash.... Picked him up, made an appt with the doctor and he has no rash. This literally enraged me. I totally get being cautious for the other kids but dude I just had to take the day off work for absolutely nothing.
