I went to a consignment store this morning with my mom. They don't have maternity stuff, but I bought a bunch of drapey, maternity-friendly tops. Everything was half off since they were preparing for next season. Score!

I also replied to several Craigslist ads for people getting rid of all of their maternity clothes. I hope to buy almost everything that I'll need before starting my new job in a week.

Been out of the loop these last couple of days. Think the first tri funk might actually be letting up finally! I actually washed clothes, vacuumed, and cleaned up a little around the house. DH encouraged me to take Friday off (unusual) and we had lunch together at Chili's. Today I got a haircut and the lady did an excellent job. Now DD is napping in the carseat while I sip my decaf iced coffee and revel in feeling mostly human again

sweetieheart32 I'm feeling ok I worked the last two nights so tomorrow morning will be the true test. I'm so excited to be able to sleep for two consecutive nights. I'm literally counting down the hours until DDs bedtime so I can eat dinner in peace, watch a tv show and go to sleep! DH is working late tonight and I'm so exhausted, I don't even care.
Other than that today has basically been a wash--I need to clean the house, and do a serious amount of laundry. Dreading it and pushing it all off until tomorrow.

We met some friends at a park this morning. Between walking around the park and then to a nearby restaurant and back I'm freaking exhausted. DH took DD to my mom's so I'm gonna lie down for a few minutes before getting ready for my friend's wedding.

Phew. I'm exhausted. We drove 1.5 hours for a picnic with H's college roommates. They just had a baby 11 weeks ago, so cute squishy baby sighting! But nothing was child proofed since they aren't there yet. I was constantly running after DS making sure he didn't kill himself or break something. And he didn't want to swim! So it was a long, hot afternoon walking around with him in the sun.
But we did get Starbucks on the way up and Rita's on the way home. Yummm. Stromboli for dinner, so YAY for no cooking tonight!
The Costco food line was insane so we went to Piccadilly instead. We were the youngest ones there by 30 years but I'll be damned if it wasn't delicious.

My sister, her H and DS came to visit today. It was so fun to watch our boys play together. My nephew is almost 8 months so this is the first time he's really been interested in playing. My FIL is coming to stay with us for a while, he's an insurance adjuster and coming in to asses flood damaged homes. Hopefully they will find a place for him to stay soon. I love him, but he's too much like DH and I can only handle one of them. Oh well, nice to see our family some without having to be the ones traveling.
Work tomorrow and that's it. I'm out of town Monday and hella busy Tuesday so I'm enjoying a relaxing weekend. Glad to hear a lot of you are finally feeling better.

Also on a semi related note is a Costco membership worth it? We don't buy diapers, my parents gave us a diaper subscription for however long we need it as a gift when DS was born. So is it still worth it?

musicallyinclined - We found BJs to be cheaper for diapers, especially if we piled on manufacturers coupons. I don't think Costco lets you apply coupons, but I could be wrong.
Enjoy clothes shopping, ladies!!!! So fun to refresh your wardrobe
My parents were here today and watched J while MH and I put on a coat of paint in the bedroom. Loving the color! I'll post a few before and after shots when it's done. And we should have furniture delivered and assembled this month. Yeesssss!
And had amazing Chinese for dinner. Mmmm roasted pork fried rice, lettuce wraps, and an egg roll. Must. Workout. Tomorrow. LOL
And I did laundry and vacuumed the first floor and cleaned a bathroom. Who is this woman?!

Another diaper question: anyone use (or used) Amazon's subscription service for diapers and wipes? We have prime and I'm seriously considering automatic delivery v. BJs/Target.

oldbaylover1024 we have an honest subscription and having diapers delivered to the house is awesome. One less thing to worry about and it's cheaper per pack than buying individually.

Ah! I read that incorrectly. We buy a lot at BJs and save a ton. Mainly on home goods like paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.), cleaning supplies, and body stuff (lotion, shampoo, etc.). I also buy a good amount of J's stuff there like coats, socks, pajamas, and books. Meat and produce is better priced as well, especially at the deli.

musicallyinclined I buy (and save) a ton at BJs, thanks in part to being able to stack coupons. I think, like anything, you have to know your prices, but I buy most household items there, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, wipes, coffee beans, books, Mac n cheese, etc.

I need maternity clothes too. I got by with flowy tops with my girls, but I'm already bigger than I was with them and my only maternity jeans have a hole in the belly band part. We went garage sale-ing today but as always I just ended up buying stuff for the kids.
I plan to walk around downtown tomorrow, hit up the farmers market, see if I can find any more garage sales, take the kids to the pool and enjoy the end of august.

musicallyinclined, I keep my Costco membership primarily for the gas prices. I don't buy diapers there at all because we use cloth. I do love their wipes though. We don't have BJs here. Sam's is our only other option. My main frustration with Costco right now is that they chose Citi as their new credit card provider for rewards. (You can use any Visa though)

Excuse me while I complain for a minute. Our AC is out, again. It is already getting hot inside and it's supposed to be extra hot this week! I know I should complain given the plight of most of our city/region but what a PITA.

Wow how is everybody eating bomb food or shopping their lives away haha. Jealous of a lot of these posts! I baked a giant pan of ziti tonight. It was pretty good!! Problem is we only have 2.5 ppl in the fam and this recipe is monstrous...ziti for lunch x5 haha. Someday I'll be smart enough to halve it.
Fun new symptom is excruciating heartburn. I've realized that when I eat pork sausage I'm gonna end up near death. Heartburn, stomach ache till I'm woozy and laying down. Bye sausage, see you in 6 months
