So mad they kept me overnight due to my blood pressure being very low. The hospital I'm at (never had a surgery here besides my csection) is seriously weird. If you are staying one night after surgery you stay in one long hallway with 25 other people with only a crappy curtain to pull around it. The nurses have talked soo loud all night, other patients snoring all around me, horrid gas pains, and constant peeing. I seriously haven't slept at all! I'm so ready to go home and kiss my babies and then crawl in my own bed the entire day.

The hospital I used to work at had a similar unit. We called it "extended recovery" or "23 hour admit." For us I think it had to do with insurance not paying for a full admission after surgery.
S got up three times last night. Super rare for him. And then he slept until after 9, also pretty much unheard of. We're off to my mom's house for the day. S is excited, because my mom promised him they could play a board game, and my dad is home from NB.
I am *this* close to shaving my head. My hair is driving me nuts. I just asked my friend if she can cut it for me this week. I'm hoping she can. I'm losing my damn mind.

Happy Labor Day, those of you who are celebrating it today! Here it's a normal day - we celebrate on May 1 like most of the rest of the world.
I have hit a life-time high for weight, so I've set up some goals for the next few months and hope I can get things under control again. I made up a daily/weekly checklist since I live for lists, and I hope that crossing off the daily goals will keep me motivated.
crimsonandclover do you mind sharing some of your list? My motivation is just shot lately in so many areas of my life. I've been trying to use a bullet journal and it helps some, when I use it. Dh is back, as are the girls, they had fun. Dd1 has taken to coming to our bed overnight and I'm not loving it. Dh eats it up though so she stays. So frustrating. It's raining here and Dh has lawn work to do today so we have no fun plans.

DH finally got DD2's room painted yesterday. So he's planning on hanging pictures and moving the furniture into it today. I'm excited to have her in her own room. Maybe she'll sleep better.
The pacifier was a hard no everytime I tried to introduce it in the past. Tonight it has become my potential savior. L is allowing her father to put her back to sleep with it. Hopefully she can learn to plug herself overnight. I know I am just covering up her inability to self soothe with a habit we will later need to break, but if this means I get one night of sleep it is worth it. Also her two top teeth are coming in. Ahhhhhhhh! Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend (those who had one).
Hi ladies! Glad to hear y'all had a pretty good weekend. I've been very busy this weekend, especially because DH has been working nights the last week. He's been sleeping during the day so the kids and I aren't home, and then by the time I get back home with them I need to do baths and chores and then go to bed myself. He'll start regular shifts tomorrow but then he's set to travel 9/13-10/10. Grrrr. I just want a nap! It'll be alright, at least my mom is helping me and the kids are really good babies.
We went to the park a bunch, had a BBQ at my mom's, visited a friend's house for dinner, I bought the kids new clothes for fall, and we went swimming. DH and I have been doing ok but I wish we were in a better place going into our 4 year wedding anniversary. We don't even have anything planned to celebrate and it makes me sad. We didn't do anything for my birthday either. Ah well.
Just got back from M's check-up. We had back to back appointments. She might have a problem with her head, apparently her soft spot is already closed, so the doc wants to keep a closer watch on her head growth, and we have a prescription for anti-yeast diaper cream for her. I have a ganglion cyst on my left wrist, and the start of one on the right. Both are caused by the way I carry M, combined with her weight in general. I have to wear my brace pretty much always, and I have a prescription for anti-inflammatory cream.
Now I have to schedule S's check-up, a follow up for M's head, and M's 12 month check-up.
Hope the soft spot issue resolved itself and the cysts don't give you too many issues!
The cysts aren't a huge deal. For now, the one on my right doesn't even need treatment at all, and the one on the left is being treated the least invasive way possible. If it worsens or doesn't go away in a couple of months of brace and taking it easy, we'll need to talk about other options, like draining it, or surgery. I'm hoping it resolves itself. I'm not super optimistic though, because the biggest part of the treatment is to stop carting M around so much. Easier said than done.

dizzycooks , my list is pretty long but that's because I wanted to set lots of small goals for myself that I could check off throughout the day, then even if I "fail" in one area I can still have several successes:
- On days when nanny isn't here, go on a 45+ min walk with DD3 or if the weather is bad do a workout video - No pop/soda (I used to never drink it but after the kids got into the habit for extra caffeine) - 4 weight watchers lunches / week (lunch is our big meal, and I love so many WW recipes that this is no hardship, I just needed to give myself a concrete number) - GD-friendly breakfast 4 mornings / week (I lost lots of weight on the GD diet, so I'm including some aspects of it here) - GD-friendly morning snack - GD-friendly dinner or weight watchers dinner 5 nights / week - no evening snack - wine max. 2 nights / week - salad before starting lunch 3 days / week
Like I said, it's lots of goals, but I made it so several accumulate over the week. Today I did not have a GD friendly breakfast, but that's ok and it's not an automatic "fail" for the day. Yesterday I did and I'll make an effort to do it tomorrow, too. The only things that are every day things are a GD-friendly morning snack, no evening snack, and no pop, and those are things that should be manageable.
crimsonandclover - I looove lists!! I think I will try to do the same thing for myself! Lollipop - I hear ya on the hair. I have had pixie hair cuts in the past and have loved them, but DH loves my hair long. DH said he's thinking of shaving off his beard at Christmas time. I said that if he does that, then I am allowed to cut off all of my hair That really made him pause and think about it!
14joa31 and crimsonandclover have you looked at bullet journals and habit trackers? You make your list of habits once and check it off daily as you do it each day. Pinterest is a rabbit hole, but I've been working on it for about 6 months and it's interesting to me as a list lover

I do not have a Pinterest account on principle. :/ The thought of getting ideas for list systems is the first thing that has made me seriously consider doing it, though. Maybe I'll search elsewhere and see if I can get some ideas.
14joa31, My friend is going to cut it for me this week. I'm planning to get to about my shoulders. Any shorter and it tends to make my face look rounder than it is. I can't dye it until the middle of October because we're doing family pics.
