Milestones: Not much new this past week. But he's getting really motivated to grab things out of his reach, so I think *some* mobility is in the near future. We seem to be out of Leap 5 as far as I can tell; thank God because the motn wakeups were not fun.
Challenges: Not really a challenge, just that he is in a major experiment phase so everything is constantly messy, loud, and being pulled. Nothing is safe anymore. Great for his development, not so much for me, lol.
Cute/Funny Stories: Going along with the above, he has figured out that if he holds his water bottle by the nipple and bangs it on his tray , he can make water go all over. His eyes completely lit up when he noticed he can now splash water while in his high chair.
How are you? I'm good. My iud appt is tomorrow and I'm excited, lol.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? I'm a Grey's fan. And Once Upon a Time (even with how cheesy it is). We also watch The Walking Dead. And I'm ready for a new Top Chef to start.
Bonus question: I would be willing if no one else can do it, but I'm fairly forgetful these days and I'd worry I won't get to it each week, at least not on time.
Milestones: He tries so hard to sit up from a laying down position even though He can't sit on his own.
Challenges: Teething. Is. A. Bitch. I'm over it. He screamed last week and it's looking like more of the same this week. God help me.
Cute/Funny Stories: He smiles every time I sing our song. He will pay attention with complete focus. Melt. My. Heart.
How are you? I'm emotionally wrung out. I'm struggling with resentment to H because he can't read my mind. A week of an inconsolable screaming baby has left me done. I need a break.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? I dunno, we turned off our satellite. It's coming back on with football season and that is about it.

Age: 3 weeks tomorrow
Milestones: cooing, but only MOTN for some reason. Maybe she knows it will make me melt.
Challenges: gas...why is it always gas?
Cute/Funny Stories: she's a grinning fool. Sure, she's as likely to grin at the lamp or a shadow in the corner of the wall as at a real live human being, but she has a megawatt smile.
How are you? tired. I keep staying up late because it's finally quiet, and then DD3 wakes up and I don't end up in bed until way too late.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? pretty much all I ever make time to watch is Royals baseball, and it's questionable how deep into the fall they are going this year.
Milestones: no idea. Nothing new this week that I can think of.
Challenges: She's decided that she wants to suck on her fingers while she nurses and it hurts like a bitch and/or makes her pop off, which just pisses her off. Hopefully this passes soon. I've been trying to give her something to hold instead, but that only works sometimes.
Cute/Funny Stories: She's so fat. It was finally cool enough for pants while we were outside so I put her in some 6m jeans but her legs are sooo fat they barely fit. It made me laugh.
How are you? Doing alright. Anxiety is getting better.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? The Man in the High Castle. But I think that's December. I don't watch network shows, just whatever is on Netflix or Prime.
Milestones: Starting to get real smiles also she has been STTN consistently for about 2 weeks now - were talking 9 - 11 hours (knocking on all wood, crossing fingers and toes)
Challenges: Gassy which makes her a pretty fussy baby during the day. She also isn't great at sleeping during the day but guess that's the trade off.
Cute/Funny Stories: She hates car rides and will scream. I will occasionally pull over and get her to take a paci to calm her down. When I did this today as soon as she saw me she stopped crying and coo'd. Be still my heart.
How are you? OK. We had a city council meeting today as they proclaimed September Childhood Cancer awareness month. Everyone swooned over the baby which gives me all the feels but when someone mentioned T passing I legit ugly cried (sevreal times). Hold it together Jenn.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? Does FOOTBALL count???
Bonus question: Somehow, it would seem that my "infant" is less than a month away from turning one so I'll soon be graduating from this check in. Any takers on running the check in starting on September 27th? Maybe me but I am really bad at remembering things.

@led Re chunky thighs.. I actually found that the cheap clothes from Walmart fit much better and for longer than the cute stuff at carter's. Like, $2 pants and shorts, super stretchy and forgiving, can't beat that.

So far I haven't bought any of get clothes, so I should probably pay attention to brands! I think she's just ready for 9m pants in general. Her legs are pretty long, too. Thanks for the heads up, though! Come 9m clothes I'll have to actually start buying clothes!

Age: 1 month
Milestones: I have gotten a few smiles recently and they are the best.
Challenges: juggling 2 kids us still my challenge. It's getting slightly better but I am still struggling.
Cute/Funny Stories: s falls asleep in the ring sling or other carrier and I love how his mouth hangs wide open.
How are you? Ok, I go in next week for my 6 week PP appt. hopefully I will be cleared for everything. It's been like 6 months since H and I have been allowed to have sex and I miss that type of intimacy.
QOTW: What shows you are looking forward to this fall (returning or new)? I don't watch much TV... I mostly binge watch series on Netflix.
