I'm up. 2 days after I have serious discussion with h that I need him ready to take over with LO at 6:30am he decides to start making bacon, pancakes, and eggs at 6. The house smells delicious, but this will not end well for him
I finally broke down and went to the eye dr last night. I thought I've had something in my eye for the past few weeks, but turns out I have an infection. I'll need to use medicated eyedrops and not wear contacts for a while. This weirds me out because I haven't left the house in glasses since I started wearing contacts in high school. Will take some getting used to, and I feel self-conscious.

We had a pretty good day yesterday. I have a new in real life friend!! It's a neighbor I met when Cam was a newborn and I wanted people to walk with. We have made plans to meet up regularly and she came over yesterday for a play date. I needed this connection so bad!! Cam, of course, cried whenever her son made loud noises but I'm hoping the more he interacts this will eventually get better.
I've been dealing with a headache since last night so that's not fun. Hopefully it goes away before Cam wakes up.
We have baby gym this afternoon. I am doing a make up class in the next age group, going to see if it's a better fit. I'm finding the younger baby class to be difficult bc they do lots of on the back activities and Cam will not stay on his back at all. He at least didn't cry at all in class yesterday.
@gdaisy super annoying. Sorry! geners bummer on the infection. Have you ever considered getting lasik? Just curious bc it seriously changed my life. I was so over contacts and glasses.
expatmama11, I am definitely considering it. I have been meaning to look into it more, and then last night the eye doctor said that what I have tends to reoccur often once you've gotten it once... do not want that!!

gdaisy09 That sounds like my H. He thinks everything he does he's doing to make me happy. But 90% of the time it's not the things I need him to do. Hugs.

Well we're settling in for tropical depression #9 here. It's raining now and will likely be raining for the next 48 hours or so. Landfall is tomorrow morning so we're watching the school closings. Too bad it isn't Friday landfall then we'd have a 4 day weekend!
geners, sorry to hear about the infection! Yuck. What a week for you guys.
I have hand foot and mouth for those not in FB land and the sores are so painful. Blarg. Can't wait for them to go away. I guess they aren't as painful for babies though??
Clara is at a day camp at the local play gym today. She was a trooper at drop off. I hope it goes well! She has a friend from school with her their today through Friday. She is such a big kid. The change from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 were so big. I can't even comprehend what 3 to 4 will be like next year! And yeesh, all of you guys with kids off to K. I can't handle it!

Well I think I pushed the baby to her breaking point today, poor thing. We are having all the carpet and tile and our couch in our house cleaned so I had no where to put her for a nap and we had to hang out outside for a large part of it. She was unbelievably good. No fussing and sat quietly once she started getting sleepy. I put her on the couch because she wanted to get down and she fell asleep. Oops.
The Drs tell me to push solids because of her lousy weight gain. This causes her to get really constapated. Which causes a horribly bleed rash.
Feeling like moty.
Not your fault! This stuff is hard. Continue to push foods that help with pooping (pear, prunes, peach) and avoid those that don't (bananas etc) and Aquaphor on that lil tush! Hugs to you & lil miss.

I've found that apples, peaches, and mango seem to help on the constipation front. Bananas, carrots and beets seem to make it a bit worse. everything else seems to be pretty innocuous, however the iron in iron fortified baby cereal (which they need some iron) has a constipating effect, so I try to do cereal with one of the things that help. how does your pedi feel about juice? could you give her an ounce or two of prune juice a day to keep things moving?
I'm so incredibly excited that I can access this website at work. It's been blocked since the exodus from TB and I struggled becoming active. So today is a new day! Yay! This is seriously the best thing going for me today, hahah.
LO's been a snotty mess again. We just endured breathing treatments for her for a good 2-3 weeks last month. She was healthy for 3 weeks and now she's sick again. UGH. So stressful. I wish I can just keep her in a bubble away from all the germs.

With DS, in order to avoid constipation/foods and juice that goes too far in the other direction cycle, I found if I gave him an ounce or two of extra water in his AM bottle that stopped him from becoming constipated and kept things soft. Good luck!!
C has only had 6.5 ounces since 6am. That is... not enough, and about a third of what he usually takes in during the days I work. I am so tired of this - MH has talked to our nanny numerous times on his strategies for feeding C. She tries once, if he pushes away or only takes a half ounce she doesn't try again. Drives me crazy and is yet another reason I will not be sad to see her go. He is up wayyy more at night the days she's there because he never gets enough to eat during the day. I am dreading tonight.
I bet you guys can't wait til we hire a new nanny so you don't have to hear me complain anymore
