Baby Sleeping/Breathing Monitors

We are still using the AngelCare movement monitor when she's sleeping: the one with the sensor pad and piece of wood under the mattress - it had been really good for us up until recently when she got super mobile. Now she sleep right on the edge of the sensor and very occasionally it'll go off as a false alarm. Scares the crap out of me, but I'd rather it be the false alarm than not knowing if something really were to happen. We'll likely stop using it once she realizes that she can stand up in the crib.

Most of those monitors are made with non-mobile babies in mind. I'm not sure how well they would work for an older infant. I've never used a breathing monitor but the owlet one looks interesting. Pretty sure my kid would stay up all night trying to get it off of her foot at this point though!

We have the Angel Care monitor too which I loved, but now she scoots off of it all night. Depending on how mobile your LO is maybe you could use that? E just prefers sleeping in the corners so it can't register her breathing. You also can change the sensitivity level though which I haven't tried...that might give a better range for picking up breathing while not directly on the sensor.

This. We've stopped using it.

We were using a Snuza and it worked great until he started wiggling around a lot. Then it would fall off or move around so much that it have a false alarm. There are ways to make them work with a wiggly baby but I just stopped using it when he was about 6.5 months.

The owlet may work for you since it stays on their foot. We have Emma in footie pjs when it is cooler and she is always in the zipadee zip (which helps slow down standing up in the crib, fyi. )
