geners, I'm so happy you guys found someone! I hope this will make Things a little less stressful for you guys.
We went to a hot air balloon festival, but A was too distracted by all the children in the crowd to look at the pretty balloons lifting off in front of her.
In other news, A has a third tooth coming in (on top this time!) and has finally gotten over her fear of walking with the push toy instead of our fingers. My back is jumping for joy!

We ended up picking up food and going to the park to eat yesterday. F played and the we walked and he rode his bike some. It actually wasn't miserably hot! A tiny hint of Fall might be in the air.
R bumped his chin while standing up at a chair yesterday. He bit his lip in two places. There was blood everywhere! He was fine after a few seconds but I felt so bad for him. His lip was swollen all day.
Thanks guys!! She seems really great. We have a lot of perspective we didn't have the first time around, so it was easier to recognize the traits and experience that really matter, what questions to ask and to know what red flags to look for. I'm really looking forward to her starting (not this week but next).
We went furniture shopping yesterday. We bought a new king sized bed, bedroom set, and a new couch for our front sitting room.
E had a rough night last night. Only two wake ups, one at 1am that required a feeding to get her to stay down and fall back asleep then inconsolable screaming at 4am. My plan had been to get up sometime after 5am and run 14 miles, but when E finally crashed at 445am I just got back in bed and slept until 715. I did run six miles, hoping to get in the other 8 tomorrow morning.
We did breakfast with my IL's this morning, errands this afternoon, then we're going to the state fair tomorrow.
A finally learned how to get up to a sitting position from laying down in the crib. Naps have consisted of me watching her clap her hands and wave at the video monitor camera for roughly 45 minutes, then fall asleep while sitting up only to wake up as she's about to face plant onto the mattress. Good times.

That's a rough phase. A would fall asleep sitting up and we would sneak in and pull his legs out. It worked most of the time.
We are on the way to being night weaned! Friday night I nursed at her normal times only after the fussing turned into crying. As soon as she slowed down I put her to bed (~5 min) the past 2 nights she's woken up and fussed a few min but gone back to sleep. We've gone from 3-4 wake ups to none. I'm really hoping this solves the daycare bottle issue!
We went to ikea yesterday and got new kitchen chairs and some bins to organize our pantry. DD1 is also obsessed with Kung fu panda right now so she found a stuffed panda there. DD2's fever finally broke Saturday evening but she's still a little clingy so I'm not sure she feels great yet. It's so nice out today and we have all the windows open, it feels like fall today!
We are trying to plan out the girl's room and scoping out furniture. I think we'll get the hemnes day bed- it pulls out to a double bed and has drawer storage. DH thinks that as they get older it will be ok for them to have different beds... Oh ye who was an only child lol
We're all pretty grumpy today and M is reacting to something, but who knows what (sleep keeps getting worse- how?!) terrible reflux, and diarrhea. Poor love. She's also refusing purees but gagging on the teeny tiny pieces of good we give her (however the BLW approach of big pieces leads to vomiting and almost-choking). I hate this.
First day back at school/in the office in 2.5 weeks for us tomorrow. I think we're all ready!!
We went out to brunch after C's morning nap, which was nice. We need to do that more now that he's finally settled into a more predictable nap pattern, it was fun. He's napping again now, once he wakes up we are heading to Carter's to check out their Labor Day sale and hopefully pick up most of C's fall wardrobe.
