We really want to do something this weekend but have no idea what. We will look into what we can do soon. So far we are just sitting around doing nothing. I really need to vacuum the floors at some point.
I think today is going to be a good day! Sam slept so well last night, H said he's going to get us donuts before he goes to work, and then my mom is coming over to watch Sam and H & I are going out to dinner for a belated wedding anniversary/first date night out celebration. I'm a little nervous about leaving Sam my mom just because she does some really stupid things (like cooking over a hot stove with him sleeping in his arms, legs dangling over the stove, SERIOUSLY).

I brought E into my bed around 4, and other than waking up to help him latch, I got to sleep until 9:30! My H went into work this morning & DD went to a sleepover last night. E is still out so Im going to enjoy the silence, hot coffee & nobody talking or touching me. We have chocolate cake too so I might even have that for breakfast because I'm an adult!
I'm hoping to get laundry done today. I'll wait until my husband is home, hand him the baby & tell him they need some father/son bonding time.

We are having a mommy/DS1 morning at the zoo. He's craving my attention so I'm hoping we have a good time and he's like his old self (as in enjoyable to be around). I have pumped milk so hopefully E will be ok again with bottles, and he and daddy will do more than cry all morning!
Speaking of your mom mcktymck how has she been lately? Better since she doesn't live with you anymore? To be honest, I miss some of your stories!
Haha yes, definitely better since she moved out! She is constantly offering me really awful parenting advice, like when he was only two weeks old and she said I need to let him sit and cry sometimes so that he doesn't become spoiled...at two weeks old. No, just no. She also hinted at him being autistic or having ADD because he is always flailing his arms around (you know, because he's a newborn baby who's nervous system hasn't fully developed yet...). As basically everyone knows on here, she's out of her mind.

mcktymck, tell her that your RN friend said that we would be worried if he didn't flail. Its called a startle reflex and normal. Also letting a baby cry increases cortisol (stress hormone) and studies show that its pretty harmful long term. The only time I advocate for CIO is when the infant is inconsolable and mom/dad need a break. Then I say lay them down and step outside for 5-10 minutes to calm yourself. I'm sure though that you've told her this and she ignores it.

I'm working all weekend.
H and I looked around last night and he wants me to get him a ring sling to try (more cuddly for Finn than a SSC and less complex than a wrap) and I found one in a Supernatural weave and its red and black. He is so excited.

Just went to the Farmers Market. Was hoping to find a cute crocheted hat for L but they had nothing in his size. He's outgrown all his newborn hats! Got some butter tarts and pepperoni sticks, yum!

First football game of the season. We met friends this morning to tailgate and it was a lot of fun. We came home for the game though. Also DS is a month old today!

That's right, thanks! I was hoping to find one he could wear this weekend since we're up north and it's cool in the evenings and his hats don't fit well.

I spent the day with my toddler on Thursday and it was the best! I hope you guys have a super fun day!

I'm horrible about thinking ahead. I need to get the girls hats before it gets too cold.
I'm jealous of everyone who gets fall and cooler weather. Don't mind me - I'll be in South Texas with our 97 degrees for at least another month then it might drop to 90 haha

I'd be lying if I said I didn't already get A's Halloween costume: he'll be a fuzzy penguin! FYI BRU has super cute cold weather friendly baby costumes.
DH is still sick. His parents agreed to watch both kids for a bit this morning so we could go to brunch. We went to Panera (which is on every corner here so not exciting) and he felt so bad we were back in 35 minutes. It's not his fault but I was so disappointed I cried. I'm back to solo parenting both kids while he sleeps. When he feels better he's got a lot of work stuff to do. He's been so busy at work I feel like we haven't even had a conversation in weeks. Next weekend won't be any better and then he has a trip. Ugh
Although on the flip side I am already thinking about Halloween and what I'm going to dress the girls as.
What are you thinking?! Ahhh coordinated costumes would be so fun
Possibly me and H as Ash and Misty and the 3 youngest as Pokémon (DD1 is at her dad's this Halloween), or HP themed: Snape, Professor Sprout, Harry, and baby mandrakes. There are so many cute twin ones though. I'm resisting the urge to do Seuss with Thing 1&2 as its really overdone.

So far today I have been given a dirty look for wearing S in the mei tai (by and old man) and also been given a horrified look by a couple while BFing S in our car. The couple parked next to us while S and I were in the passenger seat I saw the horrified look in their eyes as they backed out and found another spot to park.

If my MIL could never refer to me breastfeeding E as giving him a "Happy Meal (add a million emojis)" on facebook ever again, that would be great. She is the queen of fucking awkwardness.

Anyone else set to get hit by this insane storm Hermine? We are suppose to get it tonight and tomorrow. Usually we are about a mile west of the mandatory evacuations but so far I haven't hear anything.

Yikes. But thanks for the laugh! Tell me - do people comment/like this when she posts it to Facebook?
