So dd has slept through the night since Saturday which is great! But yesterday she didn't even drink 1 oz at daycare, I thought she'd be up to eat some but she slept. I hope today is a better bottle day

I have an early morning etiquette question for you. I received a thank you card and gift card in the mail last week. It was completely unexpected and there was a very sweet note with it. I feel like I should do something to say thank you for the thank you? I don't know this person, it was the mom who's birth I attended. Should I send her a card and a note back?

I'm like you - I always feel like I need to say thank you for a thank you from someone else. Do you have her cell phone number? You could shoot her a quick text letting her know you got it and how much you appreciate it. Or, you could kill two birds with one stone - write a card letting her know you hope she and the new baby are doing well AND thank you for the kind gift.

I have been fighting a mild sore throat for a few days and today it is much worse. I am debating on going to our on-campus health clinic during lunch or waiting another few days to see if it goes away. Fun stuff.
We have also reached a new level of clingy. only mom will do. we were going to go for a run yesterday afternoon, but I literally couldn't get her to let go of me to put her in the jogger...so we loaded into the ergobaby and took the dog for a walk.
Still trying to get my groove back at work, I feel like it takes me until wednesday or thursday most weeks to really get into a good rhythm.
Our dogs have a vet appointment this afternoon, one for a routine vaccine, the other for their annual and a few vaccines. I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to manage two big dogs and a mobile baby at the vet alone.
I took these pics over the weekend. They crack me up! I can't believe Margs will be 9 months on Sunday!! And yes, she is extra clingy/whiny all the time.

I've got the opposite of a clinger. Or maybe we're just not there yet since she's one of the younger babies. I put her on the floor and she goes off into all corners of the house adventuring. It's so cute. I love watching her explore and discover things.
Heyyy. Work has been so busy this week. Why do short weeks feel so long?
With C, it depends. When he's tired/hungry, only mom will do and he does not want to be put down. He went through a brief period like this a while back but it had gotten better. The rest of the time, I can barely hold onto him, he's so squirmy because he just wants to be put down so he can explore.
M is very clingy at night after we get home from daycare. I attribute it to being overtired mostly. Once I get him nursed he is usually ready to be off on his own playing. We usually do some independent play time for about 30 minutes before bed so he can spend time exploring and learning on his own. This is not my idea, he decided it on his own.

DD2 is really clingy right now. I am so thankful to have my ring sling. I had to hold her most of the day yesterday unless she was swinging and most of today or else she cries. She still has not interest in crawling or going anywhere and I think she would be less clingy/happier if she could move, but when her sister constantly bringing toys to her, why go anywhere?😊 Also both kids are sleeping at the same time for more than 20 minutes. I think this is maybe the 5th time this has happened. I'm getting to sit down and eat my lunch hot, it's so nice!!
Although it didn't look bad when we went in, downpouring started while I was in Walmart and wouldn't let up. Had to go buy an umbrella to protect DD to get back to my car. Skipped the 2nd grocery stop.
Pretty sure it is still raining. Time to figure out a new grocery shopping schedule! (Cooler days are coming here anyways, so best if I don't have to drag both kids through the snow and bitter cold for shopping)
At the beach this weekend, it started *pouring* both nights that we went out to eat. H ended up buying a $20 towel from Pineapple Willy's to throw over the carseat and the taxi took so long to pick us up that it actually stopped raining by the time he got there.
Well, I'm missing 5 oz of milk for tomorrow. Grr. M didn't eat any solids at daycare either and her teacher said that's been having to spend a long time rocking her to sleep. At least she's being consistent at home and school now! I think we'll be trialing a new formula next week. In good news, she wanted chicken and rice from chipotle at dinner. This kid!

What formula are you going to try? We plan to trial this weeked.
Neocate. I think that's the best chance of her not having a reaction. If it's so-so, but not great, I'm going to ask the GI about trying neocate splash. It's for toddlers, but some babies do better on it than just straight neocate.
