The cleaners are supposed to be here right around the time C normally goes down for his second nap. I'm trying to move him to an earlier schedule for the day.. Hope it works.

geners Our cleaners come right when LO goes down for her first nap. They always clean her room first and then I put her down for her nap and they finish the house.
My mom is here for the morning and then H has his last half day today since summer hours end this week. We are going to visit a friend that had her baby 3 weeks ago and bring her some dinners. We are going to our hometown fair this weekend (it's really small). I think DD1 is big enough for all the little kid rides and there will be a ton of animals there so she will love that too.
Our cleaners come in at 7:30am! So they are here when she has her first nap. I am gone already but my husband has them start upstairs and get it knocked out and most of the main floor she goes down and then there is just the basement and usually the kitchen is last. My mom just stays out of their way with Emma though the growing toy collection and her mobility is starting to make it harder.
I am so over pumping. Had a bad clogged duct over the long weekend that took a few days to fully clear. I do lecithin and I still occasional get them. My goal was to pump another month and then wean off using my freezer stash to take her to a year.
I am a little worried about the weaning off and getting more clogs. I have a major fear of mastitis. But I am so done being handicapped by the pump, it really dictates my whole life. I will literally get 3+ hours back, won't have a major fear of traveling which I haven't done since she was born, etc.

Oh that's a good idea! I called and asked them to start in the basement and do the second floor & nursery last. Your way sounds better; I'll be watching the clock & hoping they go slowly my way! Next time I'll try that.

Things have been busy for me lately but actually really good. Being without H hasn't been as tough as I thought it would be. Cam has been an angel baby, although I'm afraid that will change any day now. I've been able to go to baby gym regularly with him, running at the park, and play dates with a neighbor.
I want to get back with H but honestly do not want to go back to Angola. I think we are going to need to have a talk when I do get back about what we really want to do. I'm to the point now that the money we are making is no longer as important. Not sure what H will think about it all but I'm hoping he will also see that it's time for us to go.
Tried to get Cam his yellow fever vaccine yesterday but didn't realize he couldn't have it since he had mmr on the 15th. We will have to wait another week. Also discussed putting him on anti malaria meds. I have been against it in the past but am going to start when we get back. He will be outside a lot more now so his exposure to mosquitos will be greater and I'm not willing to risk it anymore. Ugh...add this to another reason why I'm ready to be done over there.
I need to whine. I have been sick for a month. Seriously? It started in my birthday and I think I just got another bad cold before the last one was totally gone. I am miserable and I think it's really affecting my mental health. I just feel drained (physically and mentally) everyday. I'm kind of looking forward to my work trip because I will have no parenting or household responsibilities. Some fresh mountain air can't hurt either. Hoping my head cold is gone before I fly though.
My mom is flying in today. I may be more excited than my 3 year old.
I'm trying to find my groove now that things are settling down. DS is at preschool until 1:30 and DD naps from 11 to 11:45 - 12 if I'm lucky. I'm trying to use this time to exercise (although it is a million times easier to do chores without kids). I don't even recognize my body anymore. It looks like it's melted Also there's the health benefits. Sept 11 is one year anniversary my dad died during a very routine, noninvasive heart valve surgery at the age of 64. His dad had the same surgery and died years later from heart attack. My mom's dad died from heart attack at the age of 59. I'm becoming increasingly aware of the need to take better care of myself.
expatmama11 I hope your husband is on the same page. It must be really difficult to go back and forth now that you have a little one. DH and I made a similar change - giving up $$ for lifestyle - and I neither of us regret that decision.

I guess the workshop being canceled worked out for the best. It would've started today and R is so very miserable. In my 3 years of dealing with sick kids this is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with. He just wants to be held all the time. He napping like normal but will not sleep at night. I just gave him a bath with Epson salt and lavender oil and he's playing a tiny bit now.
F is still with my mom. She said he could stay there until R isn't so contagious but I just read that it's most contagious 3 - 5 days before symptoms.
How M today? Did she do okay last night after the wheat incident? Did you talk to her care provider? How'd that go?
She is ok. The rash went down, but she was very congested all night- like could not breathe through her nose at all. But seemed pretty normal this morning. We told day care about the rash and she was shocked that something like that would happen from just handling the wheat, so I don't think she will try something like that again. If she does, Margaret will not go back. She felt really bad, so I'm really hoping it doesn't.
ETA our GI also referred us to an allergist that specializes in rare diseases so hopefully we can find some more info about the reaction she had/FPIES/what is going on. Day before her endoscopy. Tons of fun!
expatmama11, that is stressful. I think I read that with the drop in oil prices things over there are not so great, right?
For the locals in the country things are really bad. Luckily we are kind of separated from that, at least to a certain degree. Their currency is doing really poorly which actually makes our dollar stronger. Since my husband works for a large US company we are paid in dollars, thankfully!!
I do worry about crime getting worse since the economy is really bad.

Lots of sickies right now! I hope everyone feels better soon! We all just got over about a month of sickness in our house. Someone is always coughing. Literally every day.
My two littles are really starting to interact. DD2 is following DS around everywhere and it's super cute, but he is just not having it. He's pushing her and knocking her over and pulling her hands off of things she's pulled up on. Round 2 here we go! It's like dejavu. She has also developed a little angry grunt that she does at him when he takes something away from her. It's so cute I might die from cuteness.
It will be interesting to see how their relationship develops with DD1 off at school. Power vacuum!
