Back to the eye doctor this morning, hoping I can start wearing contacts again.
No other set plans, which is glorious. We are going to switch to the convertible car seat, maybe go for some long walks, grocery shop and I need to run 5 miles at some point.
My dad is coming today to go to lunch and hang out a bit. I've discussed my issues with my dad before so I won't again but I can say I'm glad he'll get to see M. It's only the 4th time in 10.5 months and he lives just an hour away.
Tomorrow we are driving 2 hours away to a really great zoo. We're going with a group of 13 other family members. I'm looking forward to it! I think M is old enough now to enjoy a lot more.
Maybe a 9/11 TW for anyone sensitive (like myself).
I'm medicating myself with sugar tonight. We had a busy day visiting family and errands. That was mostly nice, but brunch talk changed to 9/11 talk. We are quite close to DC/The Pentagon and there were some stories that I just couldn't handle listening to. Like my MIL said you could smell the smoke from the pentagon out her windows for days and someone she knew had a piece of the plane land in his truck bed :/ :/ :/ I was living in Baltimore at the time- just started college so was fortunately far enough away to be insulated from most of those happenings, aside from what I saw/read.
Anyway, Hoping for a car free day tomorrow. Going for another bowl of ice cream and googling wheat allergies and mast cell diseases. My idea of a Saturday night!
Thanks everyone! The rest of the day has been not so great. Iz's schedule got totally thrown off. She fought her second nap for more than an hour and now won't go to bed. My supply tanked post race, despite adding some nutrition and hydration to my run. I've spent the rest of the day having to beg h to take over so I can eat. I'm so tired, I just had to warm a bottle because she's not getting anything nursing. Again I had to call h in to give the bottle so I can eat and pound water
byjove, hugs. I know we have discussed it before, but I have only developed anxiety since becoming a parent and I don't think I could've handled that talk either. Wishing you a carefree day today!

I had a girls shopping day yesterday and racked up! I needed work clothes, 12 mo clothes for EG, & some workout gear. Well, I got everything but actual work clothes so I'll be shopping a little more this week. I never allow myself to go shopping or spend money so I'm pretty proud that I knocked out so much yesterday!
We saw our friends that have daughters the same age today! It has been several weeks due to illnesses and vacations. The dads are talking the DD1s camping next weekend. Woohoo! The other mom and I are going to have a girls night with the babies

I was working in Reston then and my boyfriend (first husband) was working downtown near Union Station. When everything happened phone lines because impossible to get through, especially those in government offices, and I couldn't reach him. The metro was shut down and they were clearing everyone out so he was able to grab a cab with some coworkers to get home in Herndon. He went past the Pentagon.
And my husband was working for United Airlines then at Dulles. He said it was insanity when they realized what was happening. He was on a transcon and they had an emergency stop in Arizona. He was supposed to be on a plane that the hyjackers had almost gotten on. He is still floored and humbled by everything. It started a really bad time for those working for the airlines as massive lay offs started, etc. He was working insane hours but was able to keep his job.
