we covered cribs... who is still in the highchair?

We are! The highchair seems like such a "baby" thing, but LO sits still, eats well, the mess is contained.  Basically, I'm never giving it up.

I've tried converting it to the booster last year and letting him sit at the table but he was constantly getting distracted by other things on the table that I put the tray back on and haven't tried again.

Anyone else?

We use one at my grandparent's house because it's just easier to contain her (she gets distracted and wants to go visit with everyone). But at home we haven't used one in a while.

Same as cookiesandwine. Henry has his own chair at home. We have a high pub-like kitchen table and a high bar stool (with a back) works really well for him. However at my parent's they put him in a high-chair and he is still good with it. They do have a "normal" height table though and with the chairs that they have he would probably need a booster (or sit up on his knees) so this way is just easier.

We are still in the highchair at our house. It works well, she pulls it up and sits where she wants and the dog can't get to her food. We need to get a booster for the table but haven't taken the time to do it yet. We'll probably make the switch here in the next month or two.

At my mom's she uses a booster, but at home and at my IL's she just sits in a regular chair. She does get distracted, but she gets irritated with boosters so it's easier to just let her sit without one.

Yep still in the high chair here. We only have two chairs at our table so until I find a new set I guess he's stuck there lol. My mom has an old school high chair so the whole front part comes off and it's basically a regular chair but taller. He does fine in that.

Still in their space saver high chairs. Sometimes we take the trays off but the booster sides are too high to fit under the table to pull them in closer. We also have two kid size tables they eat at sometimes but they get too distracted when they can move around freely.

High chair here. So much easier for him to reach and then we still have 4 chairs at the table for guest when they come. Our dining room table it tall so when we rarely eat in there he sits at a chair. We don't use the tray though, just push it up to the table.

rollerrink, we're still rocking the sippy cups here. Even though she gets regular cups of water, milk and juice at daycare. We need to make the change but she loves her sippy cups and they're so much easier and cleaner!

Still in the space saver and probably keep him that way until the new baby needs it. It is designed to become the booster also. One of the better choices I made was getting this over a high chair. It can push up to the table but he freaks out if he doesn't have his tray so we still use it. My goal is to get rid of high chair, diapers, pacifier, and sippy cups by kindergarten. I think I can do it!

We use on sometimes. She has a booster seat which she does use, but sometimes, there isn't room at the table and we do use the highchair.

J went on high chair strike shortly before we moved with the space saver high chair. I tried without the tray at the table and she did ok with that for a few weeks but then she didn't want any of it and insisted on sitting in the other chair at the table.

Since we're with IL's now the table is a bit too high with the regular chairs, so we were using the travel booster for awhile and that was a mess (too easily collapsible) so I finally bought a booster for her. It says 3+ I think, but she does ok with it.

She sometimes tries to get down before dinner and we have to remind her that we're not all done... and she has tried once or twice to stand on it (it's strapped to the chair) but has gotten in BIG trouble for that, so now she sits pretty well in the booster.

Yep! Highchair users for life here too! It works, so we will go with it for now. Plus, it is the only way to get her to stay at the table.

We are using nothing here. The only time she will use anything is when we go out to eat. Then it's usually a high chair or a booster. We had a booster at home from about 18-24 months, and then we just stopped using it. She sits pretty good with only getting up to go potty and every once in awhile being a stinker and not wanting to sit.

M refused using the highchair maybe 4 or 5 months ago. He won't even use it at restaurants anymore, which is the worst! Why does my kid think he is so old? I would still be using it if I could!

Yeah, my kid is NEVER still. Can't remember the last time he sat at the dining room table with us to eat let alone use the high chair.

We switched M to a booster after K was born. K now occupies the highchair. While I love our highchair the booster is great! If I could do a do over I'd skip the high chair all together and save lots of money.
