We're doing ok. I should've waited to buy some things until payday the end of this week, but we should be fine. The best things I bought this week were the girls' Halloween outfits. I should buy less snacks and probably will when I'm not pregnant anymore. I still want to buy another set of big sister little sister shirts and headphones for the girls.
GTKY- We use mostly our debit cards. We rarely have cash and try really hard not to use credit. I was curious because my mom still has cash envelopes for everything and doesn't use a debit card to my knowledge.
We're doing okay at best. Dipping into our savings a lot more than I would like, but as H has been saying, we have it so why not use it. We just bought a new car, h just built a new computer, I had to get new clothes, and I'm about to buy plane tickets to visit family at Thanksgiving. Luckily after that we'll finally be able to stop the spending freefall and start saving again.
We're still trying to build up H's credit because he had none, so we use our credit card for most purchases. Debit card for Amazon and other random things. Cash only for the babysitter and bus.

@led I hope things slow down for you guys. I've been buying more stuff than usual since moving into our house and DD2. I hope for things to die down for us soon as well.
Doing well. I haven't really spent much yet this month. Tomorrow will jump up the total at least a few hundred dollars though. Still will be doing fine, even if I hate seeing those numbers on the exit path.
I don't know about "making the most of my purchases" with regards to payment mode, but we use different modes of payment for different situations. It's been a long day though, so maybe I am missing the point. Lol. Feel free to ask me to clarify if you want.

The plan this month is to spend as little as possible to make up for August. Been doing good. Only grocery store purchases except this morning when we got very small breakfast items at the gas station when we were done with my appt. Hoping to keep that up. I don't think that'll be a problem. We use our debit cards for every day purchases. I feel flustered with cash & having to keep track of what I have, etc so debit is our form of using cash.
