Is anyone planning on getting photos done for either 6 months or maybe for the holiday season?
I already asked my friend (who did our maternity shoot and NB photos) about doing a mini shoot for 6 months. But I realize that Christmas is right around the corner from the 6 month photos.
We'll do 6 month/holiday photos at the mall somewhere. I planned on doing them at 3/6/9 months but I missed 3 months and I don't know if I should do 4 months instead. For 1 year, I probably use the photographer that did our newborn shoot. After that, we always do an outdoor family shoot in the summer, where I get pics of the kids individually and together.
I'm thinking of sticking with the fall theme 6 month photos and maybe getting s picture of DS with Santa at the library. I "know" Santa so I feel like it would be less weird. The other option is having my friend take both 6 month photos and holiday photos LOL just a little wardrobe change.
I really wish we had a penneys close that had the portrait studio. The closest one is at a ginormous mall and I don't really like going there lol

We do yearly family photos as well as maternity and newborn. So our next professional shoot will probably be next spring at DS2's 1st birthday which will also count as our family photos.

We do JC Penney photos twice a year, one for Christmas cards that I never remember to send out and again some time in the spring or summer. Summer was a bust this time thanks to the toddler so I'm hoping the Christmas shoot goes well.
I think I'll do holiday pictures myself. We have a decent camera and A is at that stage where anything abnormal gets that blank toddler stare. If I'm taking them I think we'll get more relaxed, fun pics. Also FIL likes photography had has a super nice camera/ lens/ flash setup so maybe he can do a family one for us.
We do yearly family photos that we use for our Xmas cards. They are scheduled for November 5th this year. No Christmas or fall theme - they are at an outside location. Photographer is alittle pricey but she always gets great results with our toddler. This is important to me since I wasn't overly impressed with my family or sisters pics from DD2's newborn session. School also takes pictures twice a year around October and April l. I may think about doing a smash cake session at 1 year since I never did one with DD1. DD1 got newborn, 6 months and 1 year photos. We started family photos last year at 2
My family is really into fancy family shoots and those shutterfly collage greeting cards. I feel expected to follow suit. We put up our tree/decorations on Black Friday so we might take some holiday pics at home that day?
P.S. teraiin I don't understand you. I heart the mall.

We won a photo session with a photographer. We are doing family portraits at the same spot where DH and I did our first look for wedding. We are doing a "5yrs later..." We did it at night at the "bean" in Chicago. I can't wait!!! We will do it at night again!
Can I just say.. I'm a sucker for newborn birth announcements and holiday photo cards?!? I keep every single one we get on a board in the office and start fresh annually. I know they tend to be a dying tradition, but I love them.

J is on a nb/3/6/9/12 plan. Buuuut I have DS to have on holiday pictures too. I'm going to talk to my photographer about either letting him come to the 6 month session or just adding on a holiday mini session so that we don't have to go twice.

Our twinship has ended. I don't do announcements and we don't keep or send holiday cards. I don't dislike them. I find them cute. I just don't love them and don't want the clutter. I DO keep birth announcements for a while, they decorate my office at work. But holiday photos I look at and move along. I keep the holiday card my sister sends every year, along with my 4 best friends.

I wanna start doing holiday photo cards I just need to figure out the best "deal" for them lol
I keep holiday cards on the buffet table as long as I have Christmas decorations out. Then when I put everything away the cards go in the trash. I always feel bad tossing them but I don't have the storage space to keep them all.

I love them too. I have a little basket that I keep all family ones in. It's nice to look back a see them from time to time. I also put cards H has giving that I like.
