Busy day today. Hosting a big meeting this morning and leaving early for EG's 9 month check up. On a positive note, EG slept until 7:20 this morning. I wish this was a new thing for her, but I suspect that her two new incoming teeth are to blame.
Morning ladies! The new nanny seems great so far. I'm thrilled!
I wasn't feeling well last night - achy, headache, stomach off, more exhausted than normal - so MH said he'd handle all night wake-ups (we usually split them). There were only a couple, only one of which was because C was hungry so MH just gave him a bottle, so that was lucky for him. And me, I got to sleep 6.5 hours straight for the first time in longer than I can remember. I still feel a little off today but man that sleep felt good. I should probably return the favor and handle everything tonight...
I feel like it's my turn to be the downer this week, I'll try to keep it to a minimum. Things are catching up with me and sleep is elusive. I wake up each morning more tired then the night before and I hurt everywhere. Hoping the tide will turn soon.
I was just about to say that's exactly how I felt when I had HFM all my sorries. Is R on the mend?
Yes! He is still cranky but thankfully he's not screaming at bedtime anymore. His sores are scabbed over and don't seem to hurt anymore. Now to just wait and see if F and my H get it.
@tifga, that sounds like decent weight gain? I was reading some place else yesterday that domperidone has anxiety as a side effect. I've been thinking about you.
HelgaHuffle, poor baby. It looks like it passed over DH and C in our house.

If I lived closer to you, I would come watch C & M and send you away for a weekend of sleep and a spa day. Take care of yourself!
thatgirlrachel, thank you my dear!! I really appreciate the thought
I would also like just one week of my family being healthy and something not breaking!! Clara has a hard white spot on her gums so she is going to the dentist for the first time tomorrow and I'm taking Margs to the ped tomorrow to likely have a cry and make sure we aren't missing something obvious like an ear infection.

Anyone's babies have nightmares? I think Emma is having them. It has happened 2-3 times and she wakes up inconsolable. It is like she has been crying for a long time but I really don't think so (I am asleep and assume I/we spring up as soon as we hear her.) It is the worst crying and takes a little bit to settle her down, it just breaks my heart. So it started a little after 10 last night and was a rougher night. Because she is really crying her nose gets congested and ends up being an issue all night. Trying to clear the nose of a sleeping baby is no fun!
Silver lining, the other night she slept without waking until midnight which hasn't happened in a long time. I really hope we see more of that.
I finally cleared the clogged duct on Sunday morning. It was pretty bad and I started to worry I had mastitis. I need to start the weaning process but scared to get another one plus I have been working so hard on increasing my numbers for 9 months, cutting back gives me palpitations. I had a few cries over it as well. On one hand there are so many positives, the other is I am going to miss this bonding between us since we didn't get to have a very good nursing experience. That is my only regret through all the twists and turns. I really wanted to do that and would have kept on nursing for a long time. I try and cheer myself up that if I get down to 2 pumps a day I can probably do that easily if there is any worthwhile output. My husband is ready to have this chapter in just because there is so much extra impact on him with it.
Ugh, that is the piece I will miss the most, that I will be melancholy over her growing up. It is "what could have been" which I don't tend to focus on. Sigh. Oh well. I am also just really scared of clogs! lol. I so don't want another one! That was my fourth and I am so over them.
@helgahuffle, man hope you feel better soon. byjove, you too! @tifga, ugh hope everything gets better soon.
I drove the kiddos 40 mins to a BWI (babywearing) meeting this am, then took them to the mall for lunch and a playdate at the 'pink eye pit' (ha!) and they both fell asleep on the way home. They transferred (hallelujah!) and are still sleeping. I am watching Little Mosque on the Prairie, internetting, and eating vegan yogurt.

My H is working a ton, too and will be for the next three weeks. I'm reading when I can!
I can't imagine functioning on less than 6.5 hour stretches of sleep for 9 months. How do you ladies do it? I would be a wreck. And a total bitch lol. Hope sleep comes soon for you all.

Sending healthy vibes out there as well.
The last few weeks M has been waking almost hourly. Sometimes there will be a longer than an hour stretch, but then they'll be a few wake ups every 20-30 minutes. It's fun fun fun

This is pretty identical to our schedule too. I feel rested if I can get a 2 hour stretch.
We had a couple of weeks with semi regular 3 or 4 hour stretches recently and I thought things might be getting better. Then he got sick and started teething again so that all went to crap.
They have to sleep eventually, right? RIGHT?! byjove was C a bad sleeper too?

You amaze me! I don't know how you keep it all together with all you have going on!
FX x1000 that things get easier on all fronts soon!
Thank you ❤️
On a sunny note, I pumped more than Margs drank today!

Sorry I haven't been able to be as active recently, but I'm still lurking! It's been nuts at work, but hopefully in a couple of weeks it'll be more smooth sailing. I just got off my weekend stretch and I'm excited to have some time with A. Hopefully we can think of some fun adventures to go on together.
Healthy vibes to all who need them! Maybe you'll get through all the sickness now and not have to worry about it through fall!
