Has anyone seen the movie? If so, can you tell me if there are any scary parts, especially in the beginning with the loss of the parents? Did u find it age appropriate for the 2 yr old crowd? TIA!

I'm going to be watching this thread! My H and I were thinking of taking Ingrid to see her first movie. She is very sensitive to scary things though. Last night we watched the last half hour of The Princess and the Frog which had a sort of scary scene and she woke up MOTN really scared from nightmares.

This is us too. L hates anything scary. it seemed like maybe the first part could be scary and if so I was going to skip the beginning.
We saw it. It was very good by the way. I don't remember the beginning being too scary. It's kind of like you know the storm is coming and then it is over and they can't find the uncle bear. He didn't seem too scared by it but he could have been distracted by the bagel chips he was eating. (Not the best snack for a movie by the way, crunch crunch.) The end is a little intense though so that may be too much for them. I think it is definitely better for 4-5 year old kids. We saw Big Hero 6 and he sat through that one way better than this one. He got squirmy in this one because it was a little over his head and I think part of it was because it wasn't animated.

We went today.... it went ok. The theater itself was kinda overwhelming for her with the dark/loudness. So if you haven't been to a theater before I would consider that. The movie itself didn't hold her interest that well and she really didn't like Nicole kidman's "not nice" character and was scared of her. If I had to do it over, I'd wait for a Disney movie to come out.
