Random: today my big kid turns 3! I can't believe it. He's such a sweet fun boy. Just having a small family party tonight with lots and lots of Thomas decor. Oh boy. I sometimes feel like trains are taking over my life!
My H has been great lately. He got up with DS each morning last weekend so I could sleep until A woke up, which bought me another hour of sleep each day.
And one of my friends at work bought me donuts and a cookie cake to welcome me back yesterday.

Today DH took an hour of vacation time and went into work late. And got me coffee from Dunkin, and let me sleep in until 8. I had brought B to bed with us at 5:30 and hysterically cried for about five minutes because I am so tired. So I got to sleep from about 6-8ish in bed with B. He spit up all over us so it wasn't a great sleep....but I was horizontal with my eyes closed. I'll take it.

And I just got a text from my friend. We went to the park with them and another mom this morning. Apparently one of the other moms kids has sores in his mouth and she just noticed. I'm freaking the hell out. She's taking him to the pedi in about an hour.

MH went and bought Rice Krispies treats for me the other night when I had said earlier in the day one sounded scrumptious.
I have PT later today. I'm nervous. I know I should be lifting DS with my legs but my back bears the brunt of it and they will probably scold me, but what else can I do? My dumb body doesn't work right, especially because my core is shot so soon after thr c-section.
On the plus side, it's pretty cool out today, so I am making a creamy spicy sausage and potato soup for supper. Tossed ingredients in the slow cooker at lunch time so it should be perfect for dinner. Just have to pick up a loaf of crusty French bread to sop it up on the way home from PT.

Happy Birthday to your DS, rungirlrun! I hear you on the trains taking over your life!
Oh no, melody330! Hopefully the sores are nothing contagious. At least you were at the park and not inside. We were at a playgroup at the park and someone ended up with chicken pox, but my kids were fine.
Thoughtful: a lady helped me load my stroller in the trunk at the liquor store today.
Also my sister is in town and coming over soon and my fridge is stocked with beer and wine! The weather is beautiful and we're going to sit on the patio and catch up!
rungirlrun Happy birthday to your DS! Thomas took over my house at one point too and now it's transformers! Never ending. Hope he has lots of fun!
melody330 I hope it's nothing and nobody ends up getting sick. That's stressful
Both my girls are napping at the same time, that's pretty thoughtful of them! I'm just trying to figure out if I should be productive or lay here and enjoy the quiet and relax.
I have nothing thoughtful to say because my brain is fried from listening to my toddler scream herself to sleep. I finally just had to step away and pray that she calms down soon. I'm drinking a lacroix and hoping the Real Housewives will drown out the crying. T minus 2 hours until DH gets home and I can add some vodka to this lacroix.

I'm sorry! That sounds awful. I hope she got her shit together and started behaving. Wishing you a better day tomorrow.

Thanks! As soon as I hit 'post', she passed out. She goes to school tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to a much-needed break.

Recently I saw that a friend of a friend posted something about the rate of infant mortality on the first day, and the rate in U.S. hospitals is pretty high. Her comment was basically that what the article was leaving out was that pumping newborns full of toxic chemicals is deadly. Uhhh no. I don't know her so I couldn't comment, but I wanted to know what vaccines she though we were pumping babies full of. The only shot lo got in the hospital was vit k and hep b was optional. But of course there were several ignorant people who agreed with her.
Omg you guys, the toddler is at it again. She apparently hates to sleep now. I'm at the end of my rope. I can't spend 2 hours trying to get her to sleep every time she needs to go down for a nap or bed. Luckily DH is dealing with bedtime, but the sound of the screaming and crying is giving me serious anxiety. I think it's time to sleep train again. I thought we were done with this shit 2.5 years ago. 😳👎

prvc678 toddler bedtime over here is also currently a shit show. I'm reminded why we rarely give him dessert after dinner - sugar makes him a madman. Bedtime becomes easy eventually right?
rungirlrun I sure hope so. I thought I might want to try one more time for a boy, but now I'm thinking of making an appt for DH to get a vasectomy. Because fuck this noise. DD just fell asleep, but not without screaming her lungs out for a good 20 min. I'll be shocked if she has a voice tomorrow.
So apparently the pedi said its just cold sores....but possible HFM.
And I just found out she's a pick and choose which vax her kids get kind of person. So that's great.
I legit have lost friends over them not vaccinating their kids. It is that important to me. One family visited us in the hospital with their unvaxxed kid when our first was born. I gave them a big old piece of my mind when I found out and we haven't seen or spoken to them in two years. I mean, at least tell us before you bring that into the room to meet my newborn so I can decide if I want you there or not. That is my decision, not yours.

I hear ya. I can't go through sleep issues with any more children. With the baby screaming in my face, I couldn't even tell what the toddler was melting down over. Even though I'd love a girl, we are 100% done. My sanity depends on it. And plus if I tried for a girl, I'd probably just end up as a mom of 3 boys!
I had no idea she was an idiot vaxer until my BFF told me today after the play date. I wish these people had to wear signs or were legally obligated to tell others they opted out of vaccines because of stupid reasons. I told my BFF if she invites this woman on play dates again please let me know because I will not be attending.
ETA - homophones are apparently difficult for me tonight.
