Is it Fall yet? I'm desperate to wake up to a cool morning and wear a cozy sweater while out for a morning walk with hot coffee. Soon, right?! Wishing you all a happy weekend xx
I have the bridal shower this afternoon and DH and C are going camping with friends tonight. A different weekend for us! This is my first adult/sans kids event in just about a year. For a solo event, I'll have to go back longer... aye. New Years resolution 2017- do more things for me!
We are lucky here, it is only 65* right now so definitely sweatshirt weather. It is supposed to get up to about 77* today.
We are taking M to his first parade in a little bit. He is grumpy and hasn't napped this morning so we'll see how it goes. The neighborhood we live in in our city is having their fall festival this weekend. We live 1.5 blocks from where they have it and plan to walk up there after the football game.
My city is also having a food festival this weekend. It is my favorite festival we have. We're going to head down there tomorrow. We also have to go find some shoes for M. He has to wear shoes in the toddler room and we don't have any that git his tiny feet. I'm thinking a pair of Robeez (sp?) since he isn't walking yet.
I'm jealous of all the cool weather. It's high 80s low 90s here. But I'm sure back home is much cooler and I'll have it soon enough.
We're having a good day today. Yesterday was really nice. It was sad but we all shared alot of happy memories and I think that made it less tough. The funeral directors did a very lovely job and her music tore me up but I'm glad I was able to do what she would have wanted.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.
geners I'm still thinking of you and your family I hope things are working out for you all towards a plan to help prevent anything like that from happening again.
Thank you kida! My brother checked into a treatment center yesterday, he's been through treatment many times before but we are hoping this time is different, given what happened. We are all still recovering from the other night, it's been tough. I'm thinking of you & your family too and I'm glad yesterday went well
I went grocery shopping and made four different meals for the freezer so DH has something easy to eat when I'm gone. Im hoping we can walk to the park later and just generally spend the rest of the weekend relaxing. We should install the baby gate in our upstairs hallway. Hopefully that's not too difficult.
We were going to walk around a wine festival this afternoon, but the weather isn't cooperating so we are trying to think of something else fun to do instead. Later I want to decorate the house for fall (a little early I know, but like byjove I'm ready!).
Tomorrow I'm going to spend in the kitchen making baby food, no-bake lactation balls and the soup I posted about in the cooking thread
We're trying to get stuff done around the house. So far LOs naps have not cooperated with that. I did manage to do some garden work, never ever under any circumstances plant morning glories or mint.

We are so far from fall. I'll just have to remember everyone huddled in their houses this winter while we're out playing outside. That's all the gets me through when the fall talk starts lol.
Low key weekend here. Trying to relax so everyone can start feeling better. I am taking my older two to my mom's church tomorrow morning. DD1 sings in their kids choir and for some reason she wants her little brother to go with her so I'm taking him along. Going to try him out in Sunday school so when my mom takes them for the weekend she can take them to church. Basically trying to pave the way for more free time lol. This will be DS's very first time away from any adult he knows. He has never been away from both H and I except for twice with his Grammie. I'm a little worried because he's super shy. We shall see!

No fall here. It's still 95* here. It also hasn't rained more than just a quick storm or shower since May. I would love a gloomy rainy day. Everything is so dead.
My parents are camping this weekend so we went to visit them.
F had the Step 2 push car until last summer when the handle broke. It was a $5 yard sale find so no big deal that it broke. We used it so much between 10 mo and 2.5 and he loved it so much. So we bought a new one for R. He took his first ride in it at the campground today. He loved it!
Good luck DoesItComeInPink I really hope this formula works out for you!
::Hugs:: cnf2013, hope lo feels better soon. Is she cutting teeth? I'm sorry if you already said and I missed it. If she is I hope they cut soon and you and her both get a chance to relax!

She is, but I'm thinking this is something else. Her fever has been way too high and given she already has six teeth, she's never reacted this way to any of them before.

I wish it were cool here but we are still in the 90s. I love fall and am sad I will basically miss it since we are heading back to Angola next week. Cam and I are going to 1 year old twins birthday party today. Luckily the mom sent me a message with the address because I had completely forgotten about the party. Oops
Got my new Fitbit and am already really liking it. It's good to know how much I am moving or not moving.
My girlfriend from is driving down from Dallas tomorrow to spend a few days. I haven't seen here in 3 years so I'm really looking forward to it.
@tifga yep, if C is backed up he is a cranky mess until he poops.
Teething question for the board - does your LO eat less while teething? I don't remember that from C's first two teeth but he's eating less (solids and milk) with this go around. He is comfort nursing like crazy though...
She's better, expatmama11! She spiked another bad fever in the middle of the night, but she's gotten better as the day has gone on. Still kind of cranky, clingy, and not super into eating, lots of sleeping. But overall you can just tell she feels a lot better.
