C's tooth (or teeth, I really hope he's working on more than one) really needs to come in. It's been a week already. He was wide awake for 3 hours MOTN and woke up screaming and sobbing just now. I don't want to keep giving Motrin & Tylenol but he seems so miserable at night. Ugh I hate this!

We were up a little early today, but not too bad. Fortunately my littles will play quietly in their cribs until I can ooze out of bed. My big kid is still snoozing. Probably because she didn't go to sleep until late last night.
9 month ped appointment today! All I can think about is how that means only 3 months until a year. Which means 3 months until Christmas. AaaHhhhh!!!
Leaving DS at Sunday school went great. He walked right in as I was explaining it was his first time and the girl was like, well that was easy! They were serving one of his favorite snacks and he was busy walking around pointing to his mouth saying fish fish fish when I left. He even did a craft which I don't do much with him because he is a monster lol.
I'm traveling today, which means a break from my co workers and lunch out that I don't have to pay for. I'm hoping that in can get back to the office just in time to turn in the fleet car and head out to pick up A. Only 5 days until Colorado!

Yuck, Monday. EG is still working on her top teeth breaking through, so she was a fusspot most of the weekend. I know her teething symptoms could be worse, but I will be so glad to have my happy, smiling baby back!

Also, H & I are looking into replacing our current credit cards with Chase Freedom cards. Does anyone have experience with them? We have almost 0 perks with our current cards, so I am looking for something that will give us some cashback rewards.
Another craptastic night of sleep. Since her wheat reaction 1.5 weeks ago, I've been reading up on mast cell disorders and learning more about FPIES in the FB groups I am in and I am really, really starting to think it could be mast cell (and now FPIES might be part of mast cell?). So fascinating. So much more to learn. People with mast cell have trouble producing all of the chemicals needed for sleeping and apparently antihistamine levels in the body peak between 2 and 4 am (which is when Margaret tosses and turns and cries e.v.e.r.y.d.a.m.n.n.i.g.h.t.) so now I am wondering all of the things. And apparently one of the medicines that can be a trigger for mest cell disorders is the only medicine I'm known to be allergic too (a cough syrup). Too much coincidence? Idk. The new allergist we see next week specializes in it, so I hope he can steer us in the right direction. But we have her endoscopy the next morning, and if she is mast cell, then she has a higher likelihood of reacting to the anesthesia and a different protocol is used so I will have a lot of questions about that. DH is eagerly awaiting the arrival of our dockatot. He said if it helps but we need to have it in bed with me, that he will sleep on the couch for the foreseeable future. That took me by surprise! We are all desparate for some shut eye.
The OT is at our daycare this morning. Margs was up early (I am pretty this wonder week started a couple of weeks early) so I parked the car and let her sleep so she would be nice and hungry for when the OT came. Hopefully that goes well. Our daycare provider made special arrangements to make sure she could dedicate time with Margs and the OT this morning, which I really appreciated. She did pretty well this weekend with eating. Keeping us on our toes!
tl;dr everything with Margs is up in the air. Hoping a diagnosis/new doc will steer in the right direction. She's eating more solid foods. Sorry for the novel. I've had a lot on my mind.

byjove That is a lot to take in! It sounds like you are doing everything you can for M. I hope you guys can get some sleep soon!
We just got back from her 9 month. She's still giant. 27 lbs and 31 inches. The ped told me not to feed her Oreos and sweets. Really? Also, the more kids I have, the more ridiculous all the milestone requirements seem. She's outside "normal" for a couple things but I have no doubt she'll get to them on her own time.
Yesterday I finally saw white just below the surface of his gum. I am not sure that's what was going on all week, though - I agree, I think it's gone on longer than teething would. The nanny was convinced because he was rubbing his face around his mouth, tugging his ear, drooling a ton, mouthing everything, etc. but it was her first week and it's not like she had any sort of baseline for his behavior (she is a mom of 3 young kids, though, so I put some stock in her recognizing teething behavior in general). It's hard for me to know for sure because Mon - Thurs I only saw him for a couple hours each day at most, and mostly right at bedtime. He was drooly and rubbing his face, but not necessarily more so than usual. And he has been eating less than usual all week but I wonder if part of that is due to the change in nannies and him adjusting to that. He did pretty much refuse solids all weekend for us, though, and he has been waking up at night screaming and frequently. Idk.
I wish we hadn't given any meds last week b/c I'm not sure he needed it in retrospect and now that he really does seem to, I feel uncomfortable b/c he's had it that many times lately.

geners My kid has been working on teeth for at least a week now. I got my first really good look today at the ped and she's got one that I can see white, another right behind that one, and two more that look close. Sometimes they're slow to come in.
If you are giving meds once a day at night I wouldn't worry about it being too much. If you are doing max dosage per day, then I would try to cut it down to when he really seems to be painful.
so that Job that My H didn't get offered last week he's now up for again because the person they offered it to declined the position. He basically has the job but one of the higher-ups wants to meet with him before they extend an official offer, so he's off to Syracuse NY on friday to meet with them. I turned down 2 daycare spots last week

byjove Props to you for hanging in there and getting to the bottom of M's issue(s).
Add me to the where did my sweet baby club go? DD had a bit of a cold (luckily no fever) with a nonstop runny nose. Plus maybe she's teething? I don't really see anything coming through, but 95% of the time I didn't realize DS was teething until I could see teeth. I'm not good at reading signs I guess. Anyway DD hasn't been her usual laid back happy self the last few days. I wish I knew what was wrong so I could fix it, or at least comfort her.

Congrats to your H! I hope the daycare situation works out for you. The universe is being so cruel to D15 lately.

Thanks! I'm going to try not to encourage the universe to be any worse to me and wait until H has an acceptable offer in hand before I make any moves towards trying to get a daycare spot. It would be a big move for him so he *should* be able to ask for 4-6 weeks or potentially more before starting so that we can figure out daycare. My job is semi-flexible and I can do a lot of work from home, so if I have to do most work from home short-term (i.e. doing my work during naptimes and after bedtime, and some on weekends) I can do that. our long term hope is to only do daycare MWF and I can be home T TH. We're also hoping that the job offer will come with a relocation package, or that H will be able to negotiate for help relocating.
so I'll just be sitting over here in Big Life Plans Limbo Land for the week trying to distract myself.
gdaisy09 , I didn't realize that the job required relocating. I would be completely distracted too.
yep, it's about an hour away from my parent's home, 2:20 from our house...so short term the plan would be for H to stay with my parents during the week and be here on weekends (I made big promises at work to be here until July 2017, it would take me 6 months at least to train someone to take over my job). long term his company is opening a bigger facility 25 minutes from my parent's house in 2018 and their plan is that the person in H's position will move there....so we're looking into relocating to my hometown.

I went to the PO this afternoon. When I was getting the boys back in the car I noticed the woman that was behind me in line come out and get in a big Explorer. F wanted to watch it back up so I glanced behind me and she had an infant seat in the front seat. AN INFANT SEAT IN THE FRONT SEAT. The baby was in the seat. I could see its head. She had no baby in the PO with her so she had left it in the car while she was inside. The car was running when I came out but that's still illegal here. The back windows were tinted but I don't think anyone else was in there. Because wouldn't they be in the front!?!? I can't think of one good reason to have an infant seat in the front of a large SUV.
I got her tag # and tried to call the police dept in my stupid small town but there wasn't even an option to report something. I passed two cops as I was leaving. Ugh. My uncle is a cop there so I gave him all the info and they are looking for her.
HelgaHuffle wow!! I'm glad you told someone. I guess technically the seat could go in the front if the air bag is turned off and there are car seats taking up every back seat, which maybe makes it worse? but yeah, I would have felt the same way!!
HelgaHuffle I'm glad you told someone. byjove I really admire your strength through everything your family has been/ is going through. I hope you get a plan for M soon.

My elderly neighbor is very ill. We saw his wife outside last night and then went in to see him. They adore Ari and were both so happy that we stopped. I keep thinking that last night may have been the last time we see him and it makes me so sad. They've been married for 61 years and I just worry about his wife- she's a strong lady, but it's going to be a lot for her when he passes.
C has started crying when people sneeze or cough, which he hadn't done since he was little. Not quite startling, but a new-ish thing. Usually when he's tired.
