PSA for all you Target shoppers: starting tomorrow get $25 GC with $100 purchase of diapers, wipes, and/or formula. I foresee spending lots of monies there tomorrow.

There was a Paw Patrol breakfast here in town so we all went! DS1 was super shy and wouldn't hug or high five Chase, but then had a complete meltdown when he left!
It's a beautiful fall day and I'm hoping to get out for a run in a bit.

Dh and I both got workouts in this morning. We're deciding where to go out for lunch based on the gift cards we have lol. Medical bills have zapped our eating out abilities.
Dh is working tonight and tomorrow morning at a race. Well tag along tonight while he does set up, hopefully I can run ds ragged.

The IL's are here today. Ugh.
I am really hoping to survive this weekend without talking to them much. Hopefully MIL can just not comment on my parenting or anything else.
When I told H I wasn't cooking for 6 people (I know this upset MIK because she expects to be entertained and catered to when visiting) MIL suggested going out which is not easy for me so her last suggestion was to cook something for us. I was really worried about her using my kitchen and my stuff and having to check everything to make sure it's allergen free. Well, H actually decided that he didn't want MIL rifling through our stuff. So, he is going to cook some bacon and everyone can have BLTs.

Super lazy weekend here. My 7 year old has learned how to facetime & now I'm constantly having to steal my phone back from her. 😖
We took L with us when we got new phones and he asked when he was getting one. We told him that 7 year olds don't need phones, he was pretty disappointed. The Verizon people looked disappointed too.
Drinking beer while watching college football. SIL is picking me up in a couple hours for manicures, and they serve champagne at the nail salon. Shaping up to be a pretty great Saturday. 😉

That sounds amazing. I need a nail salon like that, but with a babysitting room too.

We had another shitty night. In the middle of the night H, who is intelligent and not a jerk, told me to let the baby cry. I almost punched him. He back peddled quickly but damn what an ass hat sometimes.
Nothing in the agenda today. Cleaning and food shopping probably.

My church had a big family event yesterday. I did face painting and my BIL/cousin's band played. The kids got worn out. But I loved the girls' outfits.
MIL has judged me for S not STTN yet. I told her we usually get 4 hour stretches and I am happy with that. She didn't seem to like that S still has to eat at night. I told her that BF babies typically eat. In the middle of the night for quite awhile. She told me that her kids were fed formula at night and they STTN at 6 weeks. I said good for her, I was going to continue to BF.
SIL asked how long I was going to keep this BFing thing up. I said I was hoping for a year. Then she gives me a look and say "well I never had any interest in BFing." Gee thanks for the support?

I'm going to have lunch with cateyes today and I'm excited to see her again. She nicknamed their three embryos Harry, Hermoine, and Ron and transferred Harry and Hermione. I found it super funny since we used to call the girls Fred and George. Meant to be!
sarcaztic10 sorry for the lack of support. It's so hard to begin with (especially for you since you have changed your diet and everything!) and you don't need people giving comments like that. You're doing great!
I wish people could just support whatever feeding method you choose without shitty comments. As if new moms don't go through enough stress already.
L woke up at 7:30 so I got a bottle and tried to feed him. He wriggled around on it for a while, then let out a big fart and passed back out in my arms. Little poophead.
MH's ex-FIL insulted the kids step-Grandpa right in front them. He asked where MH's parents were and when I pointed them out he said "oh yeah I can see him. He still has that stupid hair"

Well your SIL turned out super peachy so obviously your MIL is a perfect parent and you should do what she did.

Just laundry & cleaning here today. DD is going to a movie & lunch with her friend, and I'm hoping to bang my husband during nap time today. The newborn phase has been a killer to our sex life.

I'm about to stick this sleeping baby in the swing and go hide in the bathroom from my 4yo for as long as I can get away with it. I don't think she went more than 6 minutes yesterday without needing me.
Going to a 31 party today and the. Up to my parents' Camping trailer for a BBQ. My inlaws brought some bull trout with them so I'm super excited to eat that.

I went to a group run this morning with my running club, leaving both boys at home w H. E took a bottle and actually did ok (we've been having major bottle issues). 5oz. I was so happy! I have so much milk in the freezer so now I know I can go out and leave the baby at home :-)

So B has been sleeping since 10:30....about three hours now. He woke up once to eat and for a diaper change. Do I wake him up or let him be? How long do you let your LOs sleep before you intervene during the day? I suck at this sleep thing.

A woke up at 4:15 with a massive poop that involved a sponge bath, so he was raring to go after that. Brought him out to the living room to nurse and he eventually fell asleep until 8:30. Went to Target this AM to take advantage of the GC deal. Ended up cleaning out their stock of size 3s. Oops. Now chillin in the recliner with a bottle of beer and a napping baby on me while I TCF and H watches Minnesota get annihilated. Baked tortellini for dinner. Yum.

I'd let him sleep. I let A call the shots on how long he sleeps in the day and he still sleeps well at night, even with long chunks like that.
