I found out this morning that one of the boys' orphanage "sisters" was being abused in her home here in the US. She escaped the worst of it, but the two other Peruvian adoptees with her did not. It's so bad, it's classified as torture, rather than abuse.
She was the sweetest, most respectful, smartest, kindest, most responsible girl. She took care of all the little ones and made sure everyone was all right.
I just want to lash out and to protect her, and to cry, and to puke, and to let all the fury of the heavens open upon her abusers. But it's Sunday, I am half a country away, and there's nothing I can do right now. It all came to light in February, although I just found out today, so I just pray that she is protected and comforted now.

So sad and I send all my prayers for peace and healing to these children. It is incomprehensible to me how an adult can hurt a child. Time for death penalty to all child predators. They are varmin that need extermination.

How absolutely horrific, those poor children. I am sending all the prayers I can for healing for them, and keeping you in my thoughts. That's a lot to handle, I'm so sorry!
