Good morning! I am *so* glad my event at work is over and I can breathe. Since I worked so hard in the past few weeks I can spend today playing on here, no?

Good morning all! I was here yesterday, but I had no time to post. I just read. Ever have those days where it feels like you're so busy and you never stop, but you didn't actually do anything? It feels like that everyday for me. :/
This wonder week is kicking my ass. I'll be so happy when it's over.
R has his 9 month appointment tomorrow, finally! Anyone else got flu shots yet? Both boys are supposed to get them tomorrow. I'm dreading F's. He's going to HATE it.

I feel like it should be Friday and it's only Wednesday. Ugh.
Re: flu shots, our pedi doesn't get them in until October, but I do need to make an appointment to get it. Thanks for reminding me!

C's pediatrician gives the flu shot in two parts. He had the first shot at his 9 month appt and he gets the second next week. The first one wasn't bad, he cried during the shot and for a minute or two afterwards but then he was fine, and didn't appear sore. FX it goes well for your boys!
Good morning friends! I'm feeling a little better today, my new glasses came in (early!) yesterday, I like them a lot.
C has started dancing while playing at his activity table, when he's got it on the music setting. I need to get a video... it's too cute. He's also saying "dada" constantly, the little stinker!

The baby got her first half of the flu shot at her 9 month appointment. I'm taking all three kids when she goes back for the second half. Flu shots for everyone!

I need some boy clothing advice. We are going to a wedding with the kids. I'm guessing we can get away with dressy casual. I've got plenty of stuff for the girls to wear but DS is always so difficult for me and my H is no help-I have to dress him as well.
It's in FL so I don't want him to be hot. I'm thinking polo, sweater vest, and khakis with his tennis shoes (I just can't buy special shoes when he grows out of them so fast). Does that sound reasonable?
Nothing yet. H's boss and an HR rep he talked to yesterday think the hiring manager might be going back and forth with compensation and benefits to put an offer together. this is some strange form of torture.

It's only 9:30 and both kids are acting overtired. I make all of DDs formula at one time, in a large pitcher. I was half way through dumping her formula in the water when the scale died. The water to formula ratio is way off but I figure that's okay for one day at the this age, right? When I was driving DS to preschool I asked him how he was. He replied it's going to be a great day. He's so sweet... And that's a major shift from 20 mins earlier when he was crying and screaming and kicking his feet bc I wouldn't build a bridge out of blocks. That's all I have from randoms.
I've been lurking the last few days - hugs to anyone who needs them!

I think that sounds reasonable, and if he gets too warm you could just take the sweater vest off.

Guys, car seat color doesn't matter that much, right? Amazon has a great deal on the 4evers today, $225. The color I fell in love with is exclusively at BRU on sale for $255. Please remind me how silly it would be to pay an extra $30 for a certain color.

Yeah color does not matter
+1 like all baby/toddler items, it will be covered in crumbs, body fluids and dirt before you know it.
Thanks! She's a hot mess today (a skin in snap incident perpetrated by mama on accident is not helping) but everything went smoothly. She had redness at the bottom of her esophagus where it meets her stomach (the GI gave me a hand out with pictures, kinda neat kinda gross) so we are really waiting on the biopsy results to rule out eoe. Then depending on that result, the allergist and GI will work together if it is eoe and she'll likely need oral steroids and they'll do patch allergy testing. If it's negative, we'll start on antihistamine therapy, likely starting with gastrocom. That's all I know right now. We wait! Xx

I'm so glad everyone is talking about flu shots. I was going to bring it up a few days ago but never got around to it. DD has her 9 month app on the 19th and I will be getting her first round then as I guess they need two rounds the first time.
I regrettably was one of those ppl for a long time that associated the flu shot with getting the flu until I educated myself and found that it's not actually a live strain. I want my baby to have all the vaccines possible to protect her. I myself have never had the flu shot (ffc?) but will be getting one this year so I'm wondering how DD and I will do. It's very reassuring knowing that all of your babies have seemed to do fine with it.
I was so mad at A's last appointment. They told me no shots when I scheduled it so I took him by myself. Then they spring the flu shot on us. I'm so squeamish with needles, but we both did great! I have the best views today- I'm in Boulder. Love being so close to the mountains. I would totally live in CO, but the traffic is too much for me.
Well, boo. DH got home from work and is taking Margs on a car nap. Finally a moment alone! I wanted to catch up on watching Poldark (I started the first episode of season 2 yesterday) and it is gone. It was glitchy and it won't play on the website, so I'm pouting.

13liza I used to live in Boulder. Gorgeous! What a great time to visit, too. I miss living there but so expensive! There's a really yummy pizza/pasta place at the end of the Pearl Street mall if you're out sightseeing/shopping. Don't remember the name of the top of my head. Enjoy! Eta: when I had my first kid I had a view of the foothills from my mother and baby suite. It went underappreciated lol.
