So our house has been on the market 2 days. This is technically the second house we've sold- but the first was a "family" sale of my husbands bio dad to his aunt/uncle. (Adjacent properties divvied up by DH's grandmother/grandfather)
Should I be worried that the realtor hasn't posted ANY pictures of the renovations DH has done? It's literally a picture of the front of our house from before we bought it and a on-property building :/

I've never sold a house before, but that just sounds weird to me...I thought it was pretty standard to come take pictures of the best features of the property??
When we sold our house they listed it October 2nd and I think they posted pictures October 6th. They came and took outside pictures when they first posted it, but set a time up with me to come take inside pictures.
But, when the realtor first came we weren't ready to list yet so the go ahead was given over the phone.
In the beginning we had a lot of contact because we wanted certain things changed with the listing.

We sold our house in August and before we officially listed our realtor came out and took pictures of the inside and outside, and put everything on with the listing. I would maybe just contact your realtor and ask when she is going to put them on, to me that is an important part of selling it.
Wait, are there only two pictures total? Or just two pictures of the work your H did? Because if there are only two pictures total (none of the inside), you need a new realtor. If it's that there are only two of the work H did (but others of the inside), then just ask your realtor to take and post more. Be specific about what you want. It's her job (and in her best interest) to put you in the best position to sell your house.
My realtor had a team of people working for him. And, since I am in the house hunting market I have seen plenty of people without inside pictures - apparently, that is one kind of strategy.
After selling a house, I realized that we stressed too much the first week about everything being right. And, now that I am looking for a house, I care about square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms and price. If it meets someones requirements then they'll be staking the listing or requesting a showing.
I'd call the realtor and ask why he hasn't posted more pics. I know when we were looking, we relied on the pics more than the description. Pics are so important.
I would think you need more picts. We have our house in the market right now and they have about 15 pictures. We just switched relators because the first 6 months the house was on the market the old relator NEVER brought anyone out to look at it. I understand that our house will need the correct person, its down a country dirt road and has no neighbors, but you cant tell me no one was willing to take a look... She also promised that she had a cash buyer that was looking for a place "just like this!"

I agree with other posters. Pics are a must! I've never sold a house but I am currently looking. Ads that don't have pics or good pics I just bypass (I don't even read the posting).
Pics are a must in this day and age. When we looked i looked online for what i liked at night and my realtor took me over to see them in the day. If people don't like what they see in a listing what will ever entice them to come out and see the house!
@notyourmom, Pics are a must and there should be MANY pictures!! I hope your realtor has plans to post more ASAP!
This!
Remember, even though a realtor works for you, you still need to be on top of them. They're working on commission... and selling a difference in $10k in huge for you but when you crunch the numbers for their commission, there's barely a difference.
So jealous! Will you stay in the apartment or start looking for a new home?
I want to get some stuff paid down and save a bit more money before we buy again. I also want my back to resolve before we have to maintain a home. (I mean- imagine if we owned a home and I needed back surgery and something needed to be replaced kwim? It would be easier on our family if we rented for a bit)
