@janetheconquerer, Stay safe. If you want, message me and I can give you my personal cell number. You can text me if are having internet probs and need to look up information (like weather updates, hotel numbers, best pairing of wine with candy, etc.). I'm nervous for you.

@betweenthelines, you CAN do this. And you will rock it out. DS1 was a stage 5 clinger and baby wearing save my sanity more than once. I had a tough time with my Mody and got an Ergo when Target was running a sale. I love that thing though I have Tula envy.
Thanks all! I'm pretty nervous myself. I was near tears 20 minutes ago but I gotta remain calm for the sake of the kids. We will be safe, we are safe. We will be without power. And there might be damage to our house. I've been through these before. Waiting to see the aftermath is hard. If I was on the coast I'd be evacuating. Pray for those people and their homes.
So this morning has been uneventful. We've had multiple dance parties and I think we may go to the gym after W's first nap. I just plan on a lot if cleaning and folding laundry today.
Guys it's been over an hour and he's still sleeping in my lap. I guess he's a good sleeper now? Like the lights are on, he's not nursing, and I'm not rocking him. When did he become a good sleeper?

@janetheconquerer, stay safe, that's so scary. But gym and panera sounds great.
joi922 I would hate that situation. I hate being the person to organize all of the people and happiness only to have other fuck it up who don't actually have to deal with the consequences. Drinks to you.
@betweenthelines, L has started being a complete clingy kid the past few weeks and she will hang off my legs while I am trying to cook. I started putting her on my back in the ergo because she cries to come up and then cries to be put down. Repeat 900 times.
@mrspanpan so many hugs. It takes so much extra mental energy to keep tabs on who has clean clothes or dr apps or needs to eat. Even though he was cutting the grass, we wasn't out there tallying what needs to be done, who can do it, and in what order he can get it done in, and that's why you're upset. It's totally valid.
I took a sick day yesterday and spent the entire day bullet journaling and watching gilmore girls. It was perfect. And I sold my old phone! $260, so we're headed out to buy the kids' Christmas presents and get that done. Any ideas? The only idea we had for DD was a dollhouse but she definitely won't appreciate it yet. But will she appreciate anything? I do think she would tinker with it but who knows.
ampaints not really a break because I can't (I have to be done with certain classes by January to start the upper level program in August) but I set it up to where I only have one class between October-December
I was up until 2am last night tagging clothes for the consignment sale and it's still not done. I'm running on fumes today. I do not handle sleep deprivation well. I've got to power through work somehow this afternoon so I'm loading up on sugar and caffeine. Calories be damned, starburst are my friend.
@janetheconquerer I'm thinking of you today and hoping the storm won't be as devastating as predicted. Keep us posted on how you're doing.
packmomma No idea about the sleep, but he's adorable. Do you think he's hot from the fleece pants? My kids would be sweating in those this time of year. I hope he's not getting sick.
aydee he was cold earlier (hence fleece) but in think just being cuddled into me and also working himself up before his nap got him hot. He's fussy and a little barnacle but he doesn't feel hot. He's napping right now and I'm starfishing the bed and drinking a protein drink.
