I'm glad it's Friday. Not so glad my boss decided not to show up for work today. Whatever...
Maybe I'll leave early and get my nails done. They're so long and overdue! I've been treating myself to shellac manicures lately - an inexpensive luxury that gives me some alone time.
I'm also thankful we have family photos next weekend. But now I'm trying to figure out what to wear. I just pulled out J's new fall/winter hand-me-downs so she has a full wardrobe to pick from, and MH never makes a decision until the day of pictures, so I usually try to find something in my closet that ties with them. Last year, we matched, but J was throwing a fit about clothes and ended up in a rainbow-striped hoodie, a purple shirt, khakis, and these glittery shoes. MH wore a gray shirt and jeans, and I wore a purple sweater and jeans. It all worked, but I'd love a plan this time. Yeah right LOL
Also excited about next weekend - I get to see my college roommates! We get together a few times a year at someone's house for an overnight, and we're doing it at my friend's new house. It'll probably be the last one for a while with the holidays and other life events coming in the winter.
ETA: And my parents are visiting on Sunday and bringing dinner! Win-win - don't have to cook or drive! Woo hoo!

DoesItComeInPink - J's very particular these days about what she wears. The good news is I generally could care less what she walks out of the house in - clothing is not one of the things I'm willing to argue over. As long she picks something weather appropriate for photos, I'll work out an outfit. The good news is my wardrobe is pretty neutral so I'm sure I have something.

Took the girl to Target today and she picked a great dress... on her own... no arguments. She wants to wear it with matching leggings and black shoes or boots, she's not sure, and her hair down. What is happening here?!
And I found a super cute dress to match that I can wear with leggings and boots. On sale.
