Assisted Hatching - was it forgotten or not necessary?

So...totally talked to the nurse about doing AH prior to all this (and my insurance covered it) but when I looked at my fert report again, they didn't. I was curious so left a msg yesterday but haven't heard back. Is this something I should be concerned about? Maybe they were able to determine that the shell was not hard since we did ICSI? or maybe they didn't want to screw with my one embie? I dunno, I'm just kinda worried. Everything I read says if you're over 38 it should be done etc. I should have noticed it at the time and asked about it but I was so elated that I had one and it was good quality it slipped my mind.

Hmmm...I'm not sure but we will be doing assisted hatching. Since we are doing CCS, we grow our embies to blast stage (Day 5/6/7) prior to testing, hatching and freezing. I know you did a 2DT. Can they hatch that early? Or can they only hatch blasts? I'm sure some brilliant ladies here will jump in!

Thanks k1111k, yea I saw that they could with 2 day, that's when I started to worry! I def have 2 out of 3 on that list. Well too late now, but I'm still curious why they didn't when we'd talked about it. Oh well I'm not going to fret, my little embie is going to hatch all by itself!

Maybe they just forgot to list that they did it, or maybe they did think your shell didn't need it. Curious to see what they say. Fx for smooth hatching for your embie either way!

I thought they didn't do it for me during my IVF#1, but when I inquired it turns out I had read my fert report wrong. Ask your nurse to confirm and hopefully they can explain things to you
