How far along are you? 30 weeks...eek!
What are you doing this week to prepare for baby? We got the nursery cleaned out quite a bit and started organizing some of the stuff we had left over from DD (bottles, wipes, etc)
What is your current pregnancy joy (other than being pregnant)? my big ole baby belly..lol..I just looked fat with DD1 right until the end, so I'm enjoying actually looking pregnant this time, even if I feel huge
Any updates/news from last week? nope- OB appt was routine
QOTW: What's one thing you simply must have to start your day off right? caffeine! lol....I am not a nice person until I get a little bit of caffeine in my system- i prefer my caffeine carbonated and over ice, but i will occasionally drink coffee as well (although it's been giving me terrible heartburn lately)

How far along are you? 38w4d
What are you doing this week to prepare for baby? Basically just...waiting. My induction is set for Monday at 5am, so I'm just trying to relax these last couple days.
What is your current pregnancy joy (other than being pregnant)? Almost being done to be honest. I'm thankful to have made it to term.
Any updates/news from last week? I'm 4cm and 75% effaced and ready to have this baby.
QOTW: What's one thing you simply must have to start your day off right? COFFEE.

HeyMrsPotter - I was being a little TIC I hope you're able to get some work time in at home to stretch your ML.
My leave situation sucks frankly. ::: LC mentioned ::: J was born right after my busy season (she's a May baby, and I'm a tax preparer so it was perfect timing). I took 12 weeks, expecting it all to be unpaid, but had planned accordingly. My boss ended up paying me 70% of my salary! It was a wonderful surprise!
This time around, well, not so much. I'm due mid-February so right at the beginning of our craziest time of year. I'm the primary individual tax preparer and in charge of about 75% of the clients we deal with, so it's horrible timing frankly. I'm also hourly (unheard of in my industry) which is good and bad - good because I make OT; bad because I make about 65% of my yearly income in the first four months of the year. We haven't solidified a plan yet, but I have a feeling I'll have zero contact from work for about 4-6 weeks, then be working from home almost full time (40 hours/week) from then until whenever. We'll need the income at home (I'm the breadwinner), and work will need the help.
They're not pushing me, and keep saying it'll all work out, to take the time I need, etc. But I also have to pay the bills. It kind of sucks all around frankly. Ugh...
The good news is MH gets 16 weeks of paid leave with his company so he'll be home with me while I work from home. I'll be exhausted and probably pretty miserable, but at least he'll be there. And I have family to call on for weekend help; my mom can help during the week, too.
ETA: I'm assuming any time I am out of the office will be unpaid, unless Boss decides to pay me 70% again. We're a small firm, so no written ML. I'm the first one in years to have kids, so it's kind of a "new" thing around here. It sucks... but at least I can point to the situation with J. We'll see
