I feel awful but ever since getting pregnant and now having a baby, when she's sick I'm like GTF away from me. I will bring you food and put all your shows on, but don't touch me and don't leave the couch. Of course she feels better after a dose of Tylenol so she's dancing around the house touching errything. Did I mention DH is leaving in a few hours to visit his dad who is 10 days post-transplant? Ugh. I really hope we don't give him preschool germs.
katelou been meaning to ask - how is your FIL doing?
My dad is coming today for 2 weeks. My aunt is coming for the weekend. And my mom comes Thursday for a week. So excited to see them and for help, but we don't have a spare room so they'll be sleeping in our living room. It's going to be cozy!
And random, but it hasn't rained since April, but we are having a wet weekend. I was watching the news yesterday and couldn't help but laugh as the newscasters covered The Storm! I'm not from here so it seemed so ridiculous. There were 50 accidents in one area in less than 12 hours. Just means I'm staying home!
I went out for drinks with some girlfriends last night, it was so good to be out kid-free! I even put on eyeshadow!
Not much on the go this weekend, I really want to declutter my house. I've been trying to sell this giant TV stand for two weeks with no luck, and it's starting to make me feel claustrophobic just sitting there. And the PNP takes up a good chunk of space in our bedroom. Plus the piles of crap everywhere that I can't seem to get put away. Gah. The walls are closing in!
It's been rough over here, and now my big kid is being an absolute terror. He's going to be 3 in January, and I feel like we are hitting the terrible twos late or something. Everything is reducing him to tears and tantrums. Everything. DS1- "I want to go to Poppy's house." Me- "ok! We are leaving now." DS1- "Aaaaahhhh! NOOOOO NO POPPYS HOUSE!"

....wut?
Ha sounds like my son.
Him - I want to call grandma and grandpa. Me - Ok (phone is ringing). Him - Nooooo. I not want to call grandma and grandpa. (He runs to the other room sobbing as they answer the phone). Me to my in-laws awkwardly - Um hi. I swear he wanted to call you.

Um ok. He turned 3 last month. It's been fun.
Add me to this club. The indecisiveness runs rampant especially at bedtime.
"Water bottle!" I go and get the water bottle. "No water bottle!" Throws it on the floor. "Wahhhhh! Water bottle!" And so forth.

Terrible Threes y'all, not twos. They've gotten it wrong for years.
I clocked 60 hours this week and will be clocking 52+ next week. I'm in zombie mode and the house needs seriously cleaned but I don't feel like doing anything. I'm slightly irritated that H is napping and I'm left with the screaming babies.
I got my first PP period yesterday. So now I'm on day 2 which is always the heaviest/most painful day. Yuck. The insertion of the diva cup is way more uncomfortable than it used to be. Hopefully that gets better with time.
DH made me get up with him this morning. I feel like crap, migraine , and slept crappily.
Today DS is 3 months. We will take pictures, weigh, and measure him. Then we will also take pictures of the little bear and a candle for pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day.
Also going to Michaels to get a board to put "An unopened door is a happy door." - Moss Going on our door because I'm about to start murdering political people who keep coming to our door waking W up.

We used to have a doormat that said "Go Away" I would like to think it worked since we didn't get many people knocking on our door! Sadly it wore out and we have not replaced it.

Sometime this weekend id like to go through all my clothes, put anything but that's isn't currently fitting/I don't love away and see what I'm left with.
I'm going shopping when I get paid in 2 weeks and I'd like to try a capsule wardrobe because a) $$ b) I've got a ton of shit I don't wear and c) I like the idea of not having to think about what to wear while also not looking like a hobo
Anyone done a capsule wardrobe before? Tips? Suggestions?

Following to see others' responses. I've been thinking about a capsule wardrobe myself.

Happy weekend, errybody.
To recap: preschool germs suck. Three-year-olds are emotional vampires designed to reduce us to tears but it gets a lot better at four. Capsule wardrobes are a cool concept and I'll read blogs about them but it's not for me. I am trying to streamline down to quality things I genuinely like.
We've survived two nights of DH out of town and now I'm waiting for my mom, aunt, cousin, sister, and nephew to come over any time. I have crock pot chili and stuff for s'mores and lots of wine. My house is moderately clean and my boob is hanging out.
We are up to our eyeballs in vomit today. DD had horrendous sulfur burps after I picked her up from preschool yesterday. She ended up puking all over her bed last night, then our bed this morning. Guess her birthday party, that I've spent a shitload of time and money preparing for, is now off. Fml. Trying my best to sanitize and keep her germs confined so nobody else gets it (especially baby and I), but it's hard because we are running out of surfaces that haven't been puked on.
She's taken 2 naps today, but hasn't puked for a couple hours. She has also kept some Gatorade and saltines down, so that's a good sign. DH is just getting her ready for an early bedtime so I'm hoping for no more puke in bed.

@tayschicky have you ever shopped at Ricki's? Often in the fitting rooms they have a picture of ten items that can be combined in different ways to make ten different outfits. Might be a good place to start!
I'm also intrigued by the capsule wardrobe. I'm sort of getting there, before I got pregnant I had two pairs of work pants, two pairs of jeans, two dresses... partly me being cheap and partly the lack of space to store a ton of clothes. And I no longer give a shit about wearing the same outfit twice in the same week.

Not in a while (haven't really shopped in general in a while) but we do have one nearby.
I'll be going to the city in two weeks and should have all kinds of options then!
Tricky part for me is that I'm not a fan of dresses or skirts because I'm mentally uncomfortable in them/don't like having to be aware of my crotch when sitting/playing on the carpet with kids lol. Pants are just easier/more carefree for me lol but almost every capsule wardrobe I see has a couple skirts/dresses.
I'm wondering if I just wear leggings id feel comfortable in a dress? I don't really see many other bottom options since I can only wear denim fri/sat/sun.
