Ugh I had this whole thing typed out and it erased itself.
So, Kevin. The ultimate whiner. But man that scene at the pool. I panicked. It made me sad. Triplets have to be tough. Zone defense and all.
Poor Kate. I can't imagine. Are girls really that cruel? Ugh.
And finally, Randall. Things really are different like that, and I don't think a lot of people realize that, wanting to simply "not see color." My aunt adopted a little girl 9 years ago. It was a big learning curve, like the "black hair" they discussed in the episode. So, anyway, it's interesting to see the dynamics played out on tv.
Agreed with all of the above. The pool scene made me feel panicky. And my family has 4 adopted siblings from Ethiopia (who we adopted into VT, which is pretty darn white). So lots of feels there too. My brother and I are so close and he loves my kids like their his own. And I never know what people think when they see us all together? I don't think people assume we are siblings. I've had a lot of issues with this lately surrounding recent discussions of racism in this country. But that's a talk for a different thread. Still waiting for more talk of the Miguel thing? Kinda tossed that out there and never mentioned it again. I'm sure I have more. Will be back.
leahks77 I'm guessing they will leave any mention of what finally happened to the dad that made Miguel part of the family until the end. Because they know we all want to know.

... Now that I have that out of my system. (But seriously. At least text first).
Yes, girls really are that mean. I taught 4/5th grade for 5 years. They're rough (but there's also sweet ones who notice this type of thing and will step in to befriend them).
I'm glad to see them addressing the adoption. It has to be hard for both sides, and I like that they're acknowledging that but also focusing on the fact that they're a family and that's it. I hope the moms can become friends. leahks77, I kind of want to be part of your big, diverse family. Can your mama adopt me too?

I love William. I hope he sticks around.
Yup! What's one more kid, especially with a built in adorable grand kid?? My mom would be thrilled.
leahks77 how many siblings do you have total? I didn't realize you were from such a big family before.
There are 7 of us. I'm the oldest, and only biological child. My mom struggled with IF for 7 years before having me. I was her miracle baby Then they adopted my brother, then my sister, both from VT. Then adopted 4 from Ethiopia over the next 5 years. They also did foster care. Because we weren't crazy enough

That's like my dream family (minus the heartbreak of IF).
Have you ever seen Away We Go? Chris Messina's family is my dream (Chris Messina included )

Do you plan on having/adopting a lot of kids? (I can't remember your answer in the post the other day.) Or did you just want that kind of family growing up?

I want a bunch of kids. H isn't so sure about my plan. Realistically, I think we'll end up with 2-3. I want to be able to afford the ones we have. But I do want to adopt!
I heard tonight's episode is going to be "soul crushing" :X Maybe an answer for what happens to dad?
Oh good. Soul crushing. Sounds right up my alley. I'm being totally serious. Can not quit the sad stuff! More wine. Tissues. Waiting until it's 20 mins in to start so I can fast forward through commercials
