Well I managed to get a decent amount of stuff done at home today. We had a yummy supper too. Now H and I are just lounging and watching hockey. (He's doing more of the watching.)
Tomorrow we are going to our nearest city again. It seems like I've been there a lot lately. Instead of going to Northern Air (like Sky Zone) we are going to go to open gym at the gymnastics place, which I'm way more excited for. It will be specifically for toddler time and it's never really been busy when we've been there, plus it's huge so it would have to be crazy busy to be annoying. This way DD can actually be down crawling around and playing too. After that we'll probably do lunch and then we need to go get DS new hockey skates and pads.
We are staying at my mom's tonight. They keep the house a lot hotter than we do. I packed lighter pajamas with this in mind, but he still was too warm. It was a 40 minute cry fest getting him down. And, you know, overtired babies don't like to sleep. Plus, I suspect his third tooth might be starting to make some moves as well. Fx he sleeps well tonight. My H is running to get more tylenol just in case since we didn't bring ours.

My mom keeps her house pretty warm too. But my MIL omg it's like a sauna. She wanted to keep my kids overnight a couple weeks ago and that in itself was reason enough for me to say no. No way they could manage to wear pjs over there.
Well, my brother came home from work and the dogs went crazy, woke up the kid. Ugh.
After rocking him until he was calm again, I put him down, knowing he would probably need to cry a little to get back to sleep because that's just how he is sometimes. He cries less getting himself to sleep than he does with doing a fully asleep transfer. But of course my mom comes in then. "I'll rock him if you don't want to." I was like, step away from the baby. He has to cry. He is fine. "But he sounds so sad. That's so mean." No, he sounds tired. I do this every night. Sigh. Eta. I gave up. No wine for mama tonight. I'm going to bed, with the kid, in one last ditch effort to make him sleep.

DD started a lot of really noisy breathing this evening. Steamy bathroom calmed it down before bed, bit she sounded terrible when she woke up around 9, so into the ER we went.
X Ray looks clear and we're about to start steroids for suspected croup whenever they bring it by. Downside: we have to hang out for two hours after the treatment! Argh. So glad I packed the phone charger.
chocolate - DD had Brussels sprouts this week. Steamed until soft and cut in half.

Oh bummer! Hope she got some meds and you guys were able to get some rest.
I was going to cut them up but then I wasn't sure if they were would come apart and the individual leaf-like pieces would just kind of get stuck on her tongue. But I also wasn't sure if they blend up ok.

Thanks for the good thoughts ladies! DD ultimately needed a second steroid treatment in the hospital and we picked up an inhaler for her this morning that she's used once so far. I'm almost sure she'll need it tonight because congestion and the like always seems worse at night.
She's been super velcro baby today so I've done a lot of baby wearing today. Hopefully this is short lived!
