We have discussed our Halloween memories but have we really talked baby costumes? What are you dressing LO as? Are you going out or staying in? Obviously photos are going to be mandatory in a few days.
Since W is our 1 and only we are going all out in some ways.
He has a Monstrously cute outfit. My First Halloween socks, bib, pjs Boo socks and will soon have my first Halloween outfit. This weekend I will make a pumpkin hat. But no costume.
We will stay home and watch movies. We were tempted to let the in laws babysit so we could go to rifftrax since they can't the 27th. But we decided against it.
F will be in the carrier dressed as a bag of popcorn (really need to get on finishing his costume... ) lol
My mom bought him a onesie and pant set that says "my first boo" but it's 6-9 months (??) so maybe we can roll it up? And he can wear that in the carrier.
We're going to trick or treat at my sisters and childhood neighbour's houses on the way to my parents' where we will hand out candy and hang out.
We let DS1 pick his costume and B's this year. Ds1 will be Spider-Man and B is captain America. It's super cute, but I'll probably just wear him in the moby and slap a pumpkin hat on him.

Ds is going to be really into it this year. He's going to be a fireman.
So I got dd a costume. She's a lamb. She'll probably go to a few houses and then stay home with my mom. Dh and I will take ds. He only made it like 5 houses last year. Haha

We have a family Oz theme this year based around what DD wanted to be, as all four-year-olds really run the show. She is Glinda. I'm the wicked witch. M has a carrier costume and will be my flying monkey. DH will be "boy Dorothy" in a gingham shirt since he has long brown hair (and a beard but whatevs?). I'm pretty excited. The flying monkey is a hat plus wings and a tail to attach to my black ring sling. He looks SO cute in the little hat though.
I'm taking the kids to a costume party Sunday and TOTing on Monday after DD's school party. I really love Halloween and dress up every year.
cabbagecabbage we need a pic of your husband when this happens
I'm too cheap for a Halloween costume. I do have a Halloween tutu onesie from DD1 (we were gifted a bunch of hand me downs from someone obsessed with tutu onesies) so she will wear that.

When I was pregnant with DS1, I bought a clearance pumpkin costume in November, so L will wear that. He's also got an outfit that says "my first Halloween".
There is a big Halloween party at playgroup that day, so we will go to that in the morning. I make appetizers and treats for dinner and we do up our house big time (fog machine and lights and graveyard and pumpkins...). DH and I will probably take turns taking DS1 out.
Months ago Dd saw a Heinz ketchup commercial with guys dancing around, dresses up as different kinds of ketchup. Since then anytime you ask her about dressing up or a costume, she says she wants to be ketchup. So I've made her a ketchup costume.
She insists dh will be a hot dog - not happening. We have a lion costume from her first Halloween so she tells me DS will be a lion. I think we'll put him in that at least once, but since I'll probably wear him for trick or treating, I may make a little "small fries" cover for him.
H's work has trick or treating Friday, we may do a harvest party/ trunk or treat at a local church on saturday, and trick or treating on Monday. Our neighbors have a little boy dd's age and we went around the neighborhood with them last year, so hoping we can do that again.

Love Halloween. DS1 is going as Percy (my dad made it). And he wants E to be Daniel Tiger (going less crazy there so he will just be a tiger which I bought for $5 from a mom group).
We have big party at H's work, preschool, the Y, and actual Trick or treating. Should be lots of fun and should result in lots of candy for H and me 😀
Sam will wear a Superman onesie that has a cape attached to it, and we're staying in passing out treats. We just had his 3 month photos taken though and got the best pic of him in it, I'll have to come back and post it in a little if I can get on my laptop.
My sister got HK a unicorn costume that is super cute. We were going to go with a pumpkin but since she got the unicorn we are going with it. Her cousins are going to be dragons so they will all be coordinating - fantasy creatures. We are going to a hayride that Sat. where they go to all the houses in the neighborhood. The neiborhood is all on 2-3 acre lots, etc. Super fun. DH and I usually dress up too but I have procastinated

L will be Michaelangelo from TMNT and as will also be Michaelangelo. We picked up the TMNT onsie at Target and will put that on him and I will wear him.
We usually hand out full sized candy to the kids but this year I don't want kids ringing the doorbell so we aren't doing candy. Instead S and I will be walking with H and L around the entire neighborhood.
FYI, if anyone wants some bigger candy Amazon pricing is really good on some stuff. If we did ToTing this year I would have bought the giant pixie sticks that are 85 for $25. In the past we have done starburst and skittles.
We are going to ToT at the grandparents houses and that's it. A will be a fuzzy penguin. Minnesota falls and all require warm costumes.
Outside Chicago here, so I totally understand about warm costumes. DD's dress fits over a fleece and the baby can wear anything under my ring sling. I've learned my lesson. Most of my childhood Halloweens were spent in a costume with a winter coat on top.

Oh yes, I remember those cold Halloweens! I'm sure I was a very convincing Cleopatra, what with my traditional down Egyptian parka over my dress. 😆

There was a TOT event at our drs office yesterday where they handed out some coloring pages and a little candy. We will go again next week where we get some real candy though. And i'm totally doing so because I want the candy lol. DD is cruella and DS was a Dalmatian. H and I will dress up next week too as another Dalmatian and a dog catcher.
DD1 wants to be a Pokemon trainer (Serena from Pokemon XY) and she is making Irene be one of the Pokemon, Eevee. I'm supposed to be Misty and DH is supposed to be Ash.

DS thinks because Evie sounds like Eevee that Finn is Vaporeon 😂
